Effortless File Sharing and Collaboration for Teams

  • November 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox at work for quite some time. Our team shares an account to exchange files among colleagues and to store all the documents we need to maintain in one convenient location. Dropbox provides a variety of plans to suit different needs, whether for business or personal use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of free space provided is rather limited. With only 2 GB, it stands as one of the smallest storage capacities available in the cloud market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a reliable place to store and share our important files, and I can say that Dropbox serves these purposes quite well.

Effortless File Sharing but Pricey for Small Businesses

  • November 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Dropbox incredibly easy to use, which significantly streamlines my workflow for my photography business. One standout feature is its seamless file integration and syncing with my computer, which ensures my data is always up-to-date and accessible. The platform facilitates effortless sharing, allowing me to send passwords to various employees and clients without hassle. This capability is crucial as my clients are often specific about where their photos can be accessed, and it's an integral tool when multiple departments work on a project. Moreover, Dropbox's ability to deliver all files in a timely manner and notify me when clients receive their photos is invaluable. It also provides secure password management, ensuring confidentiality, which is crucial for handling sensitive client data securely. I especially appreciate how widely Dropbox is used in my industry, making it a go-to choice when dealing with commercial clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it frustrating that working with Dropbox requires those whom I send passwords to, especially individuals not already using Dropbox, to sign up for the service rather than just downloading what they need to their computer. It would be far more convenient if there were less of a push for new users to sign up, allowing them to utilize the service as intended without unnecessary steps. Additionally, the pricing is becoming a significant concern for me as a Canadian customer. At $25.30 per month, maintaining the subscription is increasingly challenging, especially given the struggle my business is facing when I have only a few clients each year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox delivers my files timely, provides visibility when clients receive photos, and secures access with passwords, ensuring confidentiality. It's easy to integrate and sync files with my computer, streamlining my photography business operations.

Easy Document Access, But Setup Can Be Tricky

  • November 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The program is easy to use and allows teams to access documents across one platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting the program set up as a file folder on your computer as opposed to just in a browser is a bit challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is a repository for shared documentation and allows collaboration among many team members.

What do you dislike about the product?
The storage limit is quite low, which can be frustrating. I recommend offering improved free plans for clients.

Dropbox Premium can be worth the money

  • November 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy integration between Windows and iOS. I have a PC and an iPhone and this makes it easy to share and access files between the two
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting rid of the Passwords app was kind of a drag. Also I don't like that all my folders don't stay on my PC or iOS app, I sometimes have to search for older ones rather than them just always being there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often record and have to transfer large video files from my phone to my PC. This enables me to do that while not taking up a ton of physical media space.

What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox only offers 2GB for its free plan.

We have a small business and use a laser engraver. With Dropbox, we can share files and send them to the laser quickly and easily. We don't have to text or email content.

Easy way to store, sync and backup documents and files

  • November 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The easy way it provides to sync the documents across the devices and ability to easily search, upload and organize the files. I also like the way it provides options to view the photos with thumbnails.

Another cool feature is the Dropbox Paper. It is very light weight compared to other online document editing tools and provides a way to easily comment and collaborate with other people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing. Its pricing is comparable to other online storage services like Google One but Google storage provides more functionality and features like Google Photos, docs, sheets, spreadsheets, etc.

For backup, we need to put the files and documents in the dropbox shared folder on the laptop but sometimes we may forget.

The UX is also not very intuitive.

In the early days of when dropbox was started, users got free additional storage but now it constantly asks to update the storage plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think Dropbox is providing a way for me to easily access my files on multiple devices and also providing a way for me to know that my documents are safe once they are uploaded. I can retrieve them even if my local laptop gets corrupted.
