Reliable Document Sharing and Storage, But Communication Needs Improvement

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Dropbox incredibly useful for both personal and business use. It's the easiest and most comprehensive tool I've tried for storing and sharing documents. I like storing documents in the shared folder and then being able to upload and share links so others can access them effortlessly. Whether at my desk or out in the world, Dropbox gives me immediate access to the documents I need, which is invaluable. The sharing feature is particularly beneficial for collaborating with partners and clients on large files that are otherwise hard to transfer. I also appreciate the ability to scan documents, store them on my computer, and easily transfer them from one device to another. Setting it up was quite easy despite some confusion between my business and personal accounts. Overall, I like using Dropbox very much. Its ease of use and reliability are unbeatable, which is why I highly recommend it, giving it a ten out of ten.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find managing multiple accounts on Dropbox confusing, as I often struggle to know which account I'm signed into, leading to potential mix-ups between personal and business documents. Furthermore, I experienced a frustrating issue when sharing a link with too many people, which was mistakenly flagged as spam. This lack of clear communication from Dropbox regarding its sharing policies caused inconvenience and misunderstanding, as I was unaware that my sharing activity could be restricted in such a manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox provides immediate access to my documents anywhere and simplifies sharing large files with clients and partners, which are hard to transfer otherwise.

Dropbox: Reliable Cloud Storage with Room for Pricing Improvement

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for over ten years and appreciate its capability in storing all my important documents, photos, correspondence, and other files securely. I was an early adopter of Dropbox before it became a paid service and took advantage of its referral system to gain extra storage, enhancing my storage capacity for free. The setup process was easy, allowing me to start using it immediately without complications. Dropbox's usability is a standout feature, as it is very user-friendly and has been incredibly beneficial for storing data in the cloud, which aligns with my focus on data preservation from over 35 years in the IT industry. Dropbox has been instrumental in maintaining my files securely for many years. I find the camera uploads, general storage options, photo backups, and file sharing features extremely useful, especially the ability to specify access rights when sharing folders and files. These capabilities add significant convenience and flexibility to my workflow. I frequently recommend Dropbox, rating it a 10 for recommendations, and have shared it with many others over the years.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Dropbox's pricing a bit high, which remains a concern for me. A more affordable plan could enhance its appeal. Also, the absence of a family plan that's straightforward to install and manage is a limitation, as it would greatly benefit users who want to share the service across family members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for secure data preservation, storing important documents and photos in the cloud. It provides easy-to-use storage and sharing capabilities, and has been instrumental in maintaining my files securely over many years.

I have been using Dropbox for five years and find it incredibly beneficial for storing information related to the chorus I belong to. The setup was quite easy, making the initial experience very smooth. Dropbox is invaluable in solving the problem of storing large volumes of information and making it accessible to other chorus members. I use it extensively for storing learning tracks for chorus members, which greatly aids in our collaborative efforts. This integration enhances my workflow by allowing cohesive usage across multiple platforms. What would make me purchase Dropbox again is the ease of cooperative use with other chorus members. I am impressed by how Dropbox has facilitated collaboration within our group.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Dropbox could increase its storage capacity, especially through incentives like recruiting other individuals to use the platform, which could help in expanding the available space for users.

Dropbox allows me to store volumes of information and makes it accessible to my chorus members, supporting cooperative use and efficient storage of learning tracks.
