Best Data Analysis Lab
What do you like best about the product?
Teradata Data Lab is best for any organization that wants to analyze its data on a real-time basis. Access any production space quickly and easily. Explore any data in production tables while maintaining the data integrity level. It uses its technology to analyze data and give its details on a real-time basis. They are managing workloads for data separately from production service goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Teradata Data Lab is best among the others, which uses data to understand it thoroughly, getting more details, and level it up on there, but it took a lot of time when the size of data is large. It needs to speed up the process to get it done faster. The Production of these data is not as effective as required. The developers need to update it and make it more effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in a big organization, we need to analyze our data daily to make a report and compile them as required. Teradata Data Lab helps us to achieve our goals and make them more understandable. They use a database for every similar data to store and use their production level to make it easier to present and analyze data.

I recommend any organization that wants to analyze their data preciously can take the help of Teradata Data Lab.

It is user friendly and easy to operate. Working with Teradata is advantage for Analytics and decision making. This is updated with cloud which explore its new dimension.

All good to me. It is always upgrading itself over the period.

Data management with this is easy and simple..it can handle complex scenario with simple context. Reports are fine tuned with its performance.

The best thing about Teradata Vantage is that it provides a cumulative solution to the business problems we often found too complex for our data team.It supports multiple data types and hence was a great help in the finance domain.

My team found it quite costly as compared to other products.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is Teradata Vantage is to work with the Teradata SQL Engine itself. This MPP DBMS allows to process a huge amount of data with great perfomance since it works by the concept of nodes (amps), being scalable and offering great reliability about data recovering, massive processing managing, data backup etc. It's much faster and convenient to develop ETL process inside Teradata since it is designed to work effectively with no need to many subqueries as in other SQL DBMS. Plus, the Teradata Vantage integrates Python, R and other tools that allows to work and develop complex Data Science wise processes (Machine Learning, AI, Analytics etc). As Teradata Engine can manage very well all the running processes, hardly developers will need to keep bothering the DBA asking to kill orphan processes so he can focus in what's really important for the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
In terms of the Teradata SQL Engine, I would say that could be a problem for some people used to work with conventional DBMS to learn how Teradata works. There are many different concepts such as Primary Index, Secondary Index, Partitioned Primary Index, Join Index etc which are essentials to be well understood, applied and designed to obtain best results on performance and usability. I believe Teradata products tends to be way more expensive than any other else big brand even though being justified for the amazing quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teradata Vantage is a good choice for everyone who wants to explore and maximize the development of advanced analytics and data processing processes. When you have a well defined architecture of development, it tends to be very fast to develop jobs and solve business problems. You will not spend your time on silliness, you can really focus your energy on what is important for your business.
