Excellent DB monitoring tool from teradata
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best DB monitoring tool, I always use viewpointe to check how my query is doing , cpu use , amp stress etc

Nothing much I can think off, it is simple enough to understand and use

I review the cpu utilization of the queries, other batch ETL queries that are running

Terdata DB provides a better way of obtaining source files into the production environment by processing them and checking for any bugs which would else destabilise the network before receiving the files on the production environment

In few cases it has been observed terdata would also process files which would contain escape characters in it, which cannot be processed by the production system, a better personalised processing method for tailored for each system would have been better in such scenerios

Teradata is meant for very large transactions of records .If there isn't a need to process millions of record and its just a costly affair

What do you like best about the product?
It is fantastic at running analytics. I like how they are moving everything toward the cloud and not worrying about storage as much as the actual analytics, which is where the focus should be.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike. They are really working on being more scalable and realize the cloud is where they need to be moving forward.

Interface is not very user-friendly
When you encounter an issue while on it, it cant be fixed by doing basic things. Always has to contact Teradata support.
