What do you like best about the product?
Teradata Vantage has been an excellent platform in our daily operations. The performance in queries is surprising, even with large volumes of data, and the flexibility to integrate with other tools and languages greatly facilitates the work. It is stable, scalable, and reliable — truly a complete solution for data analysis in complex environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't found anything I dislike about Teradata Vantage. The platform perfectly meets our needs, with consistent performance, easy integration, and a robust data analysis experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Teradata Vantage at the Department of Finance to efficiently process large volumes of tax and fiscal data. The platform allows us to perform cross-references and complex queries in seconds, which significantly improves our auditing capability, decision-making, and transparency with society. The performance and reliability of the system have been fundamental for faster and more accurate fiscal analyses, as well as assisting in public policy planning.

What do you like best about the product?
Extreme performance, super fast in processing large volumes of data, great consulting team, first-class customer support and infrastructure monitoring, fast implementation, very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no real disadvantages with the solution, really.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's ensuring operational efficiency, which in our case (state tax administration) it means increase of our tax revenue; democratizing data access; providing fail fast processes (very important to us); allowing us to crunch data to feed external applications that are unable to do it themselves; and many more

The great capacity for storage, analysis, and data management. Its scalability. Its integration with multiple platforms and tools.

Tools like Teradata Studio are not very intuitive. They should redesign them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global customer campaigns. Management for money laundering prevention. Model for Risk prevention.

What do you like best about the product?
Teradata Vantage is a comprehensive platform for all enterprise needs to implement data warehouses, cloud lakes, and deliver the best value to customers with Clearscape Analytics, offering cloud-agnostic, hassle-free implementations. Having worked in this technology for over 18 years, I recently admired the Vantage SaaS offering and the Vantage Cloud Console UI, which is one of the best cloud consoles with many built-in capabilities. The AI/ML capabilities and improvements in recent months have been outstanding, helping larger client user communities with their analytics and making reporting easier. It is one of the most secure and 100% governed platforms, compliant with all industry standards, and its cloud presence across different hyperscalers sets it apart from the rest. Integration capabilities have been excellent; any customer can leverage their multi-cloud platform capabilities with the Vantage Cloud Lake, NOS capabilities, Query Grid, DR solutions, operational excellence in their SaaS model, and integration with Microsoft Fabric for running serverless queries. Data scientists can leverage their models with BYOM, and any notebooks created across other platforms can be integrated. The use of 4D analytics and many built-in user-defined functions/capabilities provide the best analytics across the data. Many more capabilities are to be announced, and it's going to make Teradata Vantage a great platform in comparison with other technologies like Snowflake/Databricks in the near future.
What do you dislike about the product?
In recent months, their engineering teams have significantly developed many capabilities, making Teradata Vantage a true Lakehouse platform with Clearscape analytics and AI/ML capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recently, we migrated from on-premises to SaaS with TD Vantage on Google Cloud, which helps us improve operations by 5 times, enhances batch execution, and provides better analytics from the user's perspective.

We can utilize any language, Any data and most importantly any tool in order to extract the insights from your Data, here I loved the most about this product is the way they designed database.

What do you like best about the product?
Teradata Vantage provides a very advanced SQL engine with many in-database functions that allow to effectivelly implement all kinds of analytics - reporting, campaign targeting, machine learning. Teradata offers capabilities to store and process both structured and unstructured data. Sophisticated Workload Management gives administrators full control on how the compute resources are allocated based on the business priorities.

The client tools for writing SQL queries have a room for improvement

Teradata Vantage is used as a enterprise data warehouse that provides an enviroment for all types of analysis - reporting, campaign targeting, next best offer calculation, commissions, machine learning.
