Numerous. TD is the main processing and reporting engine for Sales and Finance, and other departments that use sales and finance data. This benefits us in hundreds of ways, including accounting close, manufacturing backlog management, ans sales compensation.

What do you like best about the product?
TDV as modern analytcis cloud platform that unifies everything including Data Lake, Data earehouse , analytcis and more...one of the plus its supports multi cloud , hybrid architecture.Many cool featurs which allow business to move forward with faster phase.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the capabilities available in Cloud native RDBMS or other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
some of the challenges with large data sets with some of the common RDBMS , Teradata is solving the issues like parallel processing with huge amount of the data sets.
It is a very powerfull tool. We love that!

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to set up self service through data labs. Giving business user the power of teradata wiith guard rails. Allowing them to load their own data if while I work on automating a regular load. Most of our business line are integrated into building on teradata due to these features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the tools have a bit of a learning curve when utilizing the data science features. But once over that, it is a very reprepeatable process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing us to integrate data from multiple system into single C360, and do master data management on many other areas. Become a singke source of truth for our digital platfroms to pull from.

Vantage on the Cloud is not as resilient as the on prem version. However effort is being made to improve the offering.

The MPP engine enable processing large volume of data. The temporal feature is also a interesting resource because is very easy to store and query historical version of data.

Workload manager is very flexible to setup but itshould be more efficient in workload management in practice

An appproach wich centralize several data sources and create a Data warehouse model at the same data plataform. Since the data is on the same platform, combined with a high processing power, it's more easy to perform data & analytics studies delivering insights for organization faster.

Supports querying and storage of large volumes of data. And it responds quickly and in timely manner.

It can be expensive for small business.

In my time using Teradata I have been able to appreciate the benefits of the tool, where its strength is undoubtedly its storage capabilities and robustness as Datawarehouse, allowing to support the decision making of the organization
