    Information Technology and Services

Best online platform to learn the latest tech skills.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the content of the nanodegrees and how its structured. Interesting videos followed by quizzes and detailed mentor feedbacks really helps in learning the skill. Project-based learning is not only fun but also help us to improve our expertise faster and gives a lot of confidence to apply the same set of skills at our workplace.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything but would be great if prices can be a little less.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I initially completed the iOS Nanodegree and it was because of this nanodegree, I got my first iOS job. Being in the front-end team, I also wanted to learn the web stack and therefore graduated from Front-end and React nanodegree. The skills learned have made me a better engineer and these learnings have helped me in taking any project based decisions at my workplace.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its an amazing platform to learn the latest skills. The support is really good so would be great if you can talk to them incase your have concerns. Also, you can try the free courses at the start just to make sure that it aligns with your interests.

Udacity

What do you like best about the product?
Lectures are short, concise, and to the point, while clearly articulating key concepts in an easy to understand manner. Also, the labs and quizzes sprinkled throughout the lectures help reinforce the content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced concepts are presented in terms of "tricks" without going too much into the underlying mathematical concepts. This is remedied in some places, and in others, it's outside the scope of the course; they do often provide additional resources in this situation, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Udacity has improved my confidence with both python and data science tremendously. Please note that--in full disclosure--I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.

Well-structured lessons and practice in fundamentals

What do you like best about the product?
They chunked information well and did a great job of covering a lot of the ever-changing landscape of Android programming. Each piece of the program was relatively small, which let me see my accomplishment. The code review of projects was also very helpful. I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review - which means obviously I found it useful enough to want to do it again!
What do you dislike about the product?
Android programming changes so quickly that some of the program became outdated while I was in it. This isn't Udacity's fault, but it did cause some problems. Also, they hadn't quite figured out how to support learners fully - they changed the mentor system while I was in the nanodegree but seemed still to be working on making it useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I developed an app as my final project which I am still working on. Outside circumstances have prevented me from applying to jobs yet but I do plan to feature my Udacity experience when I start applying.

Into the time of lifelong learning

What do you like best about the product?
Great opportunity to study up-to-date tendencies and working principles. I really liked that all the supportive fields (from Git and LinkedIn profiles to working in Slack-channels and code readability) were also considered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes video lessons can be of different difficulty and coverage. Projects are great, but quizzes are mostly too simple. And I never actually used mentor's help. And some Russian community activity would be very appreciated one day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Command work principles. Great community gives you an opportunity to find a company to implement new projects with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You may expect that this certificate will somehow miraculously change your life and improve the career. But it's more like a declaration of your determination being the first brick on a road of lifelong learning. Don't be disappointed and never stop trying.

Fun and easy learning

What do you like best about the product?
So far I have done 2 Nanodegrees, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Android developer.
The best thing about Udacity are the required projects, which are graded by instructors, in order to get your certificate. In both nanodegrees I gained a lot of practical knowledge and projects are great for your personal portfolio on GitHub.
The content is provided in a way that is easy to understand and most importantly fun (almost addictive). The video instructions are always very thorough.

I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a student they are quite expensive and you have to dedicate time to it in order to graduate and get your certificate within the timeframe. Additionally, you won't have access to your course content forever, although you are able to download the videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the skills I learned in the Android Developer Nanodegree, I got a job as an Android developer and it certainly helped that I could show off my apps I made for the projects.

I would enthusiastically recommend Udacity

What do you like best about the product?
I have enjoyed learning from Udacity, both free courses x many years, and more recently Nanodegrees, e.g. graduated "AI Programming with Python" in February 2019 and currently enrolled in "Data Analyst". User-friendly interface is probably what I like best; most stuff can be completed within any web browser.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a dislike, but there is still room for improvement with the user interface. For example, I learn a lot from the practice page that follow the instructor videos, but sometimes the workspace feels awkward(e.g. have to keep scrolling up and down to read the problem header or have to download the solutions).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Please note: I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.

Great platform for relating your skills to industry field

  • July 13, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
The projects were all real-world. Teachers are also very prepared for giving the classes. You also have mentors in case you don't understand something. The thing is you are never along. I will say that the courses are a little bit high however there are scholarships and discount along the year that could help, for instance, I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of anything I dislike about it besides the price. I think they could adjust the price based on the country because some countries cannot afford the same cost as other due to currency conversion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am learning how to ground my knowledge to something more tangible in the industry.

What do you like best about the product?
Material provided in the degree is really useful, they way they have taught, its really easy to understand everything in this degree, hands-on real life projects is the best thing to learn and get required skills.
Udacity is the best platform in comparison to many other learning platforms.
Udacity is a highly professional platform.

Disclaimer: I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main barrier in the udacity is increase in pricing of the nano degrees, Nano degree cost a lot.
Mostly students couldn't get access to these nano degrees because of their high fees.
I request udacity to lower their prices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After completing my nano degree from udacity, I got enough skills and confidence to solve different type of the problems. Now I help people on different freelancing platforms to solve their problems using my android nano degree skills.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly Recommended
Udacity is highly professional platform, there material, teaching method is highly effective, anyone can easily get started with any required skills

Worthwhile investment in your future skills

What do you like best about the product?
I like a high level of interactivity and engagement available at Udacity. Great combination of videos, quizzes, projects, and community support makes an all-round education experience that I want to come back to. Whenever I consider a programme to learn, I compare all available options - and although the price with Udacity is higher, I see the reasons why and multiple benefits that Udacity has over other available programmes. To me, it is purely about what I can do on my own, how the programme enables me to create things outside the course site, and what I can take away after my learning experience. Udacity ticks off all the boxes for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Udacity gives you a start, yet I'd appreciate having a "follow-up pack" after any course / Nanodegree, which would entail next steps, books you can read, fields you can develop further in (apart from next courses at Udacity, of course). As Udacity makes learning accessible to everyone, it would show their commitment further if they provide students with a list of next steps, projects, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have always been passionate about data and coding. Yet growing up within a traditional education system rather gave me a mindset of "I am definitely an economics / languages" person - something that didn't help me to fulfil my passion in its entirety. Having completed courses and a Business Development Nanodegree with Udacity, I have become much more confident to take my job as a Business Analyst and turn it into deeper analytics and even lead a blog about data insights. SQL has become an invaluable tool in my daily toolkit expanding what kind of challenges I can address, while data visualisation knowledge has broadened and improved the way I frame my findings to external audiences.

Disclosure: I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Udacity enables you to be a self-starter. You study at your own pace, on your own terms so to say. There is no pre-defined structure how you should do it - everything is completely up to you. For some, who lacks initiative, it can become an obstacle in the beginning, yet further on you will experience that switch to a mindset of "hey, I can do it on my own" - and give yourself a push to continue and study, without someone looking over your shoulder. In the end, there's also always support available!

What do you like best about the product?
As an alumnus of udacity with 2 nano-degrees, I can say the content of the lessons on audacity is by far the most elaborate, rich and comprehensive compared to other online learning platforms I have used. You are introduced to each topic with interesting projects and plenty of examples. The students' forum together with the knowledge center is very helpful, I always found answers in one of these 2 places whenever I got stuck on a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
The nano-degrees and the lessons are excellent no problem with that. But I must agree with others that their email support is a hit or miss. Some times I get a response within in a week sometimes takes almost a month! to get a reply from udacity support. Not cool at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I once stumbled on an article of how machine learning models were helping doctors diagnose diseases using photos of blood samples. As I read through the jargons, training, validation, test set, MSE, epoch, batch size RELU, dropout, etc I realized without my nano degree in SDC this article would have been greek to me.
The skill I acquired from my SDC nano-degree enabled me to participate in kaggle competitions to help solve major problems in machine learning.
