The projects that we get to do are hands on and cutting edge. We get High demand skills which are the skills if the future. We also get a personal 1:1 technical jeeviye for guiding ud throughout the journey. It's been an amazing experience! I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new subscription based model of payment is a bit costly, but is fairly understandable the nanodegree are exclusive

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact the some reviewers don't go through all the code and sometimes weird bugs can make your project refused without giving real direction to solve the problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to work on Deep Learning project now for healthcare and cybersecurity apps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Udacity is a great place to learn from industry leaders by working on real scenario projects

Data Engineering Nano Degree.

What do you like best about the product?
- Program developed with the people who have real-life experience with Data Engineering. They also have real technical and practical knowledge& experiences with the tools you would use as a data engineer, like Casandra and Airflow, Aws, etc..
- The workspace they provide is good so you don't need to install anything for most of the tasks/assignments. Just open your workspace and start working/coding.

- They guide you trough well for necessary steps if you need to use third-party services like AWS.

- You will also get free aws credit for the services you need to use in the program.

- Content, in my opinion, could be better and more realistic but it is still good.
- Cassandra part was good but the postgres part just not. I even did not understand why they have that section.

- Casandra, some usage of Spark and Airflow + hands-on with some of the AWS services, these are all good things you would have on your skill list.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Everything is strongly tied to Python and some of its popular libraries (panda, etc) we are as a developer coming from different backgrounds, for example, I'd prefer to write my solution in my preferred languages, not in python.

-This course is targeting to teach you Data engineering and some technologies along the way like Cassandra, and aws services so Python should not be the only language for the program or they can change the title to 'Data engineering with python.' Most of the time you would read a record/file from a text or json file and you will convert/transform to normalize or de-normalize the data and save it to somewhere else, so you don't need to stick with python or any other language for this.

- projects should be more realistic and challenging, they are easy most of the time and you keep using the same data sets again.

- The course could be renamed as '' Casandra, Airflow + AWS services for data engineering'

by the way, Udacity offers 25% off if you write a review on g2.
( so I'll get 25% off for my next nan-degree on udacity. That also indicates I'm okay with the program and general quality of Udacity )
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
learning new skills
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Titles of the programs are fancy 'Data engineering, AI for Robotics & Self driving cars, etc' but programs are just okay, to be honest. Never register the very first version of any course on UDacity wait for at least 5 to 6 months and register for the second class.

Good learning experience in Udacity nanodegree program

  • June 28, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
DISCLAIMER: I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.

I like the pacing and the breakup of the individual lessons. Any given lesson is usually not too long and can be completed in probably about a half hour. I think learning in this method makes it less intimidating on the front end.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've just realized that Udacity has moved to a subscription-only based model, as opposed to the previous lump-sum full-term payment. Or, I guess you can say they still have a lump-sum option, but it is only a discount on the monthly subscription option for the suggested number of months to complete a given program, and ends up appearing to be more expensive than before. As an example, the two courses I've taken so far were 3 month programs for which I paid $600 each. The subscription model options are either $399/month, going month-to-month, or $359/month if you pay for the applicable # of months up front. So now if I were to take the same programs and pay up front for the 3-month term, they would cost me nearly $1,100 now, vs. $600 before. I was considering taking another program but now I don't think I will.

Additionally, it can take quite a bit of time to get support assistance. The few times I've needed support, the response time was on the order of weeks.

In one instance, I raised a case against some confusing/incorrect quiz questions on a particular nanodegree program. I actually completed that nanodegree program and started another. It was only until I was well into the 2nd program that I got a response on my case regarding the 1st program (which as noted I had already completed).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main goal in taking courses with Udacity was to give myself exposure to in-demand skills for jobs that I think I would like to do. I had not been afforded the opportunity to learn some of these things in my work and so it was necessary to take a class to learn them. So far, I've gotten base-level competency in the various skills covered in the courses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you budget an appropriate amount of time to study the material so you can learn it well.

Excellent community, great teachers

What do you like best about the product?
The community of learners that are so keen on helping each other succeed is unmatched. I made lifelong friends from meeting with peers locally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too much handholding which means once you graduate you are still not entirely clear how to build a project from scratch using what you have learned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am now an ML expert and know how to solve problems, and apply ML to new territories. As a disclaimer, I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The pricing for Udacity is very expensive ($400 USD per month) and goes against the mission of the company to provide education to everyone in the world when the truth is that the majority of people in the world cannot afford that price tag.

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the background of all the teachers, they have actual experience, and also love the practical projects using up to date tools and software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some key concepts needed a little bit of more practice with excercises from a very easy to a very hard evolution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning new tools and software alongside with mathematical and theorical background for a deep understanding of the subject.

A very good platform for online education

  • June 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
“Disclaimer: I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review."
First of all, the contents are always high quality whether it's video or text. The learning environment have been well set up in a way that motivates you to go back to it and kind of realistically mimic what taking a university online course should look like. The projects are hands-on and a really good support is provided until graduation from the program.
What do you dislike about the product?
At some point in the past, the student support was not efficient enough, I personally experienced with the Full Stack Nanodegree. But I am talking about more than a year ago and since then, this aspect has been completely and thoroughly worked around. Now Udacity provide a dedicated mentor for each student.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was willing to learn data analysis, so I took the Udacity Data Analyst Nanodegree and I have graduated from it.

Great learning experience and relevant coursework

  • June 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Curated content and projects relevant to learning all essentials of a program was the best part I loved at Udacity. I took React Nanodegree program and as part of that, the hands-on projects I did were really helpful in grasping the concepts of the program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nanodegree requires you to pay again if you are unable to complete a given cohort and would want to join the next cohort to complete from where you left. They should consider the practicality of taking a course along with ongoing job and should allow a feature like pay-once, complete at your pace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Udacity to improve my skills. I took nano-degree program in React and used the gained knowledge to contribute to active project in my company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Feel free to take a course if you feel the fee is not a problem. As the content is definitely worth trying.

Very good program to step on a new technology

  • June 28, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Udacity is the feedback of reviewers. Unlike the other online learning platform, reviewers check the detailed code and give you feedback. Also, student community and Q&A platform help sharing ideas and finding solutions when you have difficulties with proceeding in projects. I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
What do you dislike about the product?
The review of the project differs a lot from its reviewers. Some reviewers put a great amount of effort on the feedbacks while others don't. Also, there are well-organized nanodegree programs and poorly organized nanodegree programs. And the price could be quite expensive for some users, especially students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I succeeded to get a job in a data science field, which I didn't study at the university. Especially student communities helped me a lot to solve the problems I encountered while working on projects. I recommend the nanodegree programs to the people, who want to begin a new career in a different field.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great learning platform for those wanting to begin a new career in a new field.

Great Experience, Super Pricey

  • June 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is well structured, well articulated, greatly executed. The projects they have you create are awesome additions to your resume, and the videos are super helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The teachers/helpers aren't typically there for a lot of help... Unfortunately most of the help you get are from previously asked questions. This does not bode well for the volunteers/employees of the program. My last complaint goes towards the price... When I first signed up for this program it was only 540$ for the entire Introduction to Programming nanodegree... Now it's 400$ a month... That's insane.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me boost my knowledege greatly, and I do work in IT now, but I am no where close to being a programmer, because that takes years. What I do now is Software Support Analyst for Xytech Systems, which is a great place to be, however I would like to go for a programmer position. Not to say I can't get that, because I'm avidly working on this!

I also want to add that I received a discount on my next purchase of a Nanodegree program for writing this review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is seriously expensive.... $400 a month?? So this should motivate you to finish it quickly? What if you wanted to take your time? This is seriously my biggest issue with Udacity. I've mentioned it in almost all of my reviews. Coupons are not enough when you're shelling out $1600 for something that's not an accredited university...
