API Gateway made efficient by Kong
What do you like best about the product?
Our API management and deployment has been more efficient with Kong, especially when managing and load balancing the number of requests that come in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of yet, but as we expand our capacity, we may need to see the availability of additional features

API deployment and load balancing was an issue and that is now resolved

What do you like best about the product?
One of the strengths of Kong API Gateway is its scalability. The software is built on top of the popular open-source Nginx web server and is designed to handle large amounts of traffic and high numbers of concurrent connections. A great product for enterprises
What do you like best about the product?
Architecture is spot on. Documentation is spot on. Learning Labs are spot on.

I don't dislike any thing. I come from a background of developing before the internet as we know it. No windows.... So... I understand and appreciate the architecture
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a monolithic architecture and it is becoming hard to manage
One of the best gateway solution with well thought architecture and documentation.
What do you like best about the product?
Wide-range installation support with pre-made containers made the deployment process seamless. Support of rate limiting, third-party monitoring integrations and large community-developed plugins which can easily be configured makes it widely superior to other competitors.

What do you dislike about the product?
Support for Data transformation layers for legacy apps can be a big plus. UI can feel a bit sluggish and can be improved.
Apart from that not a lot of complaints,kong is pretty solid. It took care of all my use-case, and its performance is top-tier.

It eliminated the necessity of handling multiple REST services.
Different Transformation plugins made communication between various services seamless.
It took care of our scalability needs and was very proficient in handled large concurrent traffic.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Kong as an API Managemnt tool because I am using for almost 2 years. It is well structured and there are so many plugins which we can use and play with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There us nothing which I dont like about Kong. However the plugins documentation can be improved or It would be good if there is an example using kong Manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have everything in one place. It is well serialized. Services -> Routes -> Plugins -> Consumers. At the same time we can multiple plugins and the Kong dashoboard is not so complex. Anyone can be habitual of using Kong in few minutes.
Decent API Management platform
What do you like best about the product?
Kong Gateway provides various options to configure and run in customer-hosted infrastructure. Kong also provides a lot of ready-to-use artefacts to install and configure the Kong gateway with a few steps. It out of the box offers a lot of plugins (policies) to govern the APIs and also provides the capability to develop our own custom plugins.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Kong community is still evolving and there is little help available in the community to discuss issues. The documentation is also limited over the internet. There are only few trainings available in their LMS and there is no support available if something is wrong with the training steps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Kong Gateway in hybrid mode with Kong Mesh in our organisation. We are using Kong Mesh for our microservices and this allows us to efficiently communicate with other services without leaving the Mesh network. We use Kong Gateway to govern and protect our API proxies running in Mesh.
KONG: Easy Management for your API
What do you like best about the product?
Kong has an incredible UI experience and the accessibility of various plugins and the simple accessibility to various stages makes it more utilitarian when contrasted with other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many dislikes on my list, but some plugins are only available as an enterprise license, which can be somewhat annoying. I believe it is slightly expensive for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Kong Plugin, we were able to scale API Products with more confidence and resilience. This way we get more Productive & the performance has increased. Kong API Gateway assists us with dealing with these means in a central point.

What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion, Kong API Gateway is a great choice because of its lightweight nature, also it's ease of installation, and ease of use even for beginners. Moreover, it has an intuitive user interface that is sleek and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Kong API can be expensive for smaller teams, but apart from that, I cannot think of anything I dislike about Kong API. It's great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitors API requests, manages API requests, and due to being lightweight, it saves a lot of space along with the time. Also, it's additional functionality to APIs and services puglins helps alot.

It can be deployed quite easily from a container

What do you dislike about the product?
Although the pricing is quite expensive for a team of 1-10 members of a company, except that I have had no negative experiences using it for the past 3 months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing and hosting APIs is part of my job which is greatly simplified by Kong API. It helps me efficiently manage the APIs and saves a lot of time for development.
