Exceptional Cross-Browser Testing Made Easy with BrowserStack

  • May 21, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface of BrowserStack is intuitive and user-friendly, making it incredibly easy to navigate and set up test environments. I particularly appreciate the ability to switch between different browsers and devices effortlessly, as well as the option to take screenshots and record videos of the tests. This feature has been invaluable in documenting bugs and sharing them with my development team for prompt resolution.
Disclaimer: This review is based on my personal experience with BrowserStack and reflects my honest opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing Structure: The pricing plans of BrowserStack can be a bit restrictive for individual developers or small teams on a tight budget. The plans are primarily tailored toward enterprise-level users, which might make them less accessible for individuals or small businesses with limited resources.

Limited Testing Time: The duration of testing sessions can feel a bit restrictive, especially in lower-tier plans. For complex projects requiring extensive testing, the time allotted may not be sufficient to test across multiple browsers and devices thoroughly. A more flexible approach to testing session durations would be beneficial.

Customization Options: Currently, BrowserStack provides predefined testing environments, but there is limited flexibility in customizing test environments according to specific requirements. More options for customizing browser configurations or device settings would be beneficial, allowing users to simulate specific user scenarios more effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the standout features of BrowserStack is its exceptional speed and reliability. I have experienced minimal latency during my testing sessions, which is crucial for maintaining productivity and ensuring smooth execution of test cases. The responsiveness of the platform, combined with its robust infrastructure, has significantly reduced the time it takes to perform comprehensive testing across multiple browsers and devices.

  • May 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With so many device models, OS and browser versions available means I now have the ability to switch between different app and browser versions quickly - especially with the quick launch feature in my Chrome extension
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the quick launch is empty and need to edit it again
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to test across multiple browsers and OS and devices model and troubleshoot issues to try to reproduce bugs. This saves me time and reduces the risk of launching apps with UI glitches, especially for smaller screen sized e.g. iPhone SE 2020

What do you like best about the product?
The different variety of devices available and on different OS versions old and new.
Also you can perform automation on different devices.
iOS and Android devices both are available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well not much, but I dont like that you cannot change the device OS version or have the same device with different OS versions.
They could try adding more devices on more OS versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can test app or feature on multiple devices and also have the logs running. We can fetch crash logs and throttle networks if needed. There are many good features which you may not generally get directly in a device.

It's ease of use. You can test anything everywhere, in muiltiple devices and browsers with a few clicks.

What do you like best about the product?
Access to just about any mobile device and browser simulator you need. Pretty easy to learn and use. Lots of features and strong community of developers / users. Our QA team would be in a tough place without it

Sometimes can be slower than desired. Caching has caused confusion in the past
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing an array of devices and platforms. Makes it very easy for our remote QA team to test on any device we need them to. Saves a lot of time for them and for our team

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Library of platforms and browsers that allow thorough testing and troubleshooting of user experiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
The technology is incredible to bring these platforms to a browser. That said, there are occasional hiccups in coordinating the provisioning and rendering of the mobile platforms and browser versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Web applications are the mainstay of companies in today's digital world. While modern browsers have converged dramatically in the last decade, there are nuances in rendering behavior and interactivity requiring checking each supported browser.
