What do you like best about the product?
I use multiple features on a daily basis, like -> Mobile automation, Mobile app testing on real devices, mobile web testing on real devices, Performance monitoring of our app, and many more. Out of all the features out there, i use mobile automation a lot and the reports are very detailed with all info needed for any developer if any failures are there, like network, device, appium, terminal, app profiling data, and even text logs which is very helpful like what went wrong, by step by step. Other than this screenshots and video recordings will also be there for each scenario we run. Other than this we can run our scripts parallel on multiple devices simultaneously so that turnaround time is very less and makes it fast. I did try responsive and speed lab features they look promising but I need more time to explore them more. When it comes to app live we can choose over apple or android and tabs for our app and do testing on the same.
What do you dislike about the product?
Especially for our app, but I am not sure about others, let's say we run 10 scripts out of that 4-5 fail because of ANR and if we run the same scripts locally I mean from our local machine, it works, I mean all our scripts runs without failures which is very wired, so we seek help as there is no call or other support, only email support is available and there are back to back emails and still we are facing this issue. Sometimes scripts fail intermittently on BrowserStack devices and that also runs locally fine, we are agile based and this makes us unhappy sometimes and we need more support on this front. if we can get a dedicated manager or support team for our org would be a great help so that we can ask them all questions and get answers in one shot and it will be quick and easy for us. other than this we face few other issues like UI is bit complex and not readable and app live could be improved as it does not have much features and few times it will be very slow to access and devices are also on slower sometimes. And BS is bit costlier when compared to other vendors.

For us mobile automation runs on multiple devices over multiple locations and other than that mobile web testing on a multitude of devices which helps us a lot on day-to-day based testing on across apps by all our engineers. Another main problem it solves is like when we are automating an app we need to inspect the elements to get the XPath-identifier, so BrowserStack helps there with that like we can identify on the fly and its very helpful for us but still it is in beta but works, other than that we can enable network logs as well and see the internal call for the app which also very helpful in realtime. App profiling also comes very handy for us. We have integrated BS with bitrsie so on daily basis when the build gets generated it will automatically get uploaded to BS and our scripts will run on that new build on daily basis and we get reports before we start our day, which is very helpful for our team. I am not used to other features like Percy and all but they also look promising. When it comes to benefits our whole team of engineers use this on different projects and they all are happy with the product and they use it on a daily basis. BrowserStack's blog is very good and we refer to it and documentation is also very good compared to other platforms like sauce labs or others. other than this BS supports for other integrations like Jira tickets to videos after each run and others.
