Vulnerable to High Traffic
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is modern and intuitive, especially the devices page.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tried over five combinations of different OSes and devices and always got a message indicating that the platform was under heavy traffic and couldn't launch the requested device. I even tried several hours later, and still the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My purpose was to test my clients' websites against old versions of main web browsers to ensure the maximum compatibility possible.
Great test farm
What do you like best about the product?
Large variety of devices. Excellent availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
With any hosted device farm there are some limitations (for example, testing things with the camera, or with wi-fi disabled, or very long running tests aren't really feasible.) But I don't think BrowserStack could do anything about that.
They charge extra for SAML; IMHO that is evil but many companies do it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lets me test on a much larger variety of devices than I could ever possibly acquire myself.
Everything you need to test you mobile and web apps
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which you can run tests on the cloud. The automate product is spot on and one of the most stable products we have come across. We also use app-live at Ally/Microsoft to test our apps across device fragmentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Achillies heal for me and my team-member have has been documentation. I fell it can be much better than what it currently. The manual testing products have a above average latency in my opinion. Probably a filter around most frequently failed tests with stacktrace and screenshots clubbed together would be a good add on for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I feel the Device and browser fragmentation is the biggest problem any company faces when their product is very UI centric which in our case is an OKR tool so we got to make sure that our sites work well across multiple browsers and that's where it helps us.
Awesome
What do you like best about the product?
Test various devices for our website UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing, much. as we know about it if anything will mail you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
for testing different device options.
By utilizing the most recent mobile devices, Browser stack assisted us with regular tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
Since we don't currently have any physical devices to test, we are able to examine any mobile devices. Everyone always has access to pristine devices and browsers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Free trials are limited to 100 minutes for automated use and 30 minutes for live use. Devices can occasionally be slow. The delayed test stages may be a contributing factor in tests failing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the assistance of BrowserStack, the business was offered the chance to save money. You can access a variety of devices with different versions by only acquiring an account. The specific devices for which the website needs to be tested can be used for testing. Therefore, this is far better than purchasing every device that will be needed for testing.

browserstack from my pov
What do you like best about the product?
Helpful that we can test on multiple physical devices, do parallel testing and whatnot. Have many physical devices, especially the latest models. Not tried competitors yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside is that it lags, not always writing my inputs in the text fields. But generally if slowness could be dealt with I think BrowserStack could be the best
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to buy multiple devices to test our web browsers. Saved us a lot of money and time.
It made our department more productive. And increased performance.

Not perfect but best platform for mobile
What do you like best about the product?
It has a dedicated physical phone farm. This makes mobile testing more reliable. They're also up to date with the OS versions and phones. The REST API is complete and easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
The tests aren't reliable on mobile; we have to retry more often than not due to BrowserStack-side issues (timeouts, hangouts, etc.). It'd be awesome if this could be improved somehow. I also miss the reports, this is only available for Enterprise users and I consider it a basic. Finally, each account tier upgrade is deadly expensive so we have to find creative ways of using the limited resources they offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running tests for mobile and debug issues. That really makes the difference when it comes to QA processes in a company. Unfortunately, we can't share the results freely among devs, but we have a place to check and inform what's happening. We also use App Live from time to time to review our apps on different devices.
