Instant Access to Real Devices, but Occasional Lag Can Be Frustrating
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how it eliminates the headache of physical device labs. Developers can instantly access thousands of real phones and browsers in the cloud
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the noticeable lag. Sometimes it’s really annoying having to wait for it to respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It takes away the panic of a website breaking just because a customer is using an older Android phone or some obscure browser.
BrowserStack Makes Cross-Platform Testing Possible and More Efficient - For Most Cases
What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack is a really good shortcut to test webapps or mobile apps on different tech-stacks and platforms. It's certainly efficient to run scans on a simulated environment with various platforms than having to set up indivdual test-setups with physical hardware or even virtual machines too replicated the various OS and frameworks. Especially when the the team works everywhere and not in one office, you can't just have different devices and share them with people who work at home.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is simulated, I sometimes would love to have deeper access to debug a problem. BrowserStack does help you find problems, but you can't get to the root of it. Since this IS your environment to test, the consequence is often that you either have to "guess" (via research) what the problem was and trial-and-error a solution or you do have to set up a "real" environment to replicate the issue and get closer to it. So, it's good to identify that there is a problem, but it's not necessarily easy to also fix it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows the product development organization to test our products in different environments rather quickly and efficiently. Therefore, I can rely that the products I'm selling works on various environments - even those who might not be officially supported. In my role, it also helps me to see what my customer sees, when he or she is using a different stack that officially supported. That doesn't mean I can always help - but sometimes it does work. As I mentioned, in general, the flexibility allows for us to streamline our testing (even though performance is sometimes a tidbit laggy - but it's always better than the time needed to get our products onto the "real" hardware) and it integrates nicely into our CI/CD for the development process.
Accurate Cross-Device Testing with BrowserStack’s Real Device Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about BrowserStack is its real device cloud, which allows testing on actual devices instead of emulators, giving more reliable and accurate results. It’s especially helpful for ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility without the hassle of maintaining physical infrastructure. The platform also speeds up development cycles with features like parallel testing, easy CI/CD integration, and built-in debugging tools such as logs, screenshots, and video recordings, making the overall testing process more efficient and scalable.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of BrowserStack is that it can be relatively expensive compared to other testing solutions, especially for smaller teams or startups. At times, performance may feel slightly laggy due to network dependency when accessing real devices remotely, which can affect testing speed. Additionally, debugging complex issues can sometimes be limited compared to local environments, and session time limits or queue times during peak usage can slow down workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack solves the problem of ensuring applications work seamlessly across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems without the need to maintain an in-house device lab. It helps catch compatibility issues early, reduces manual testing effort, and speeds up release cycles through automation and parallel testing. This benefits the business by improving product quality, reducing time-to-market, lowering infrastructure costs, and ensuring a consistent user experience for customers across different platforms.
Essential for Cross-Device QA Testing
What do you like best about the product?
I find BrowserStack easy to use, especially since it runs on real devices and even shows the hardware info. I appreciate the ease of switching to any OS or browser, and the initial setup was straightforward with just setting up an account and going. It's also incredibly valuable for testing multiple devices to ensure websites meet QA needs. It's particularly handy for testing specific issues that users report, like with an iPhone 16 on Safari, without needing to have the actual device. Running in Citrix is a great experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes network connection is buggy over VPN, especially if QA is offshore
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use BrowserStack for website testing across multiple devices to ensure quality. It's easy to use, runs on real devices, shows hardware info, and allows easy OS/browser switching. It lets me test specific issues reported by users, like on an iPhone 16, without the actual device.
