Essential Tool for Streamlined API Testing and Team Collaboration

  • December 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
i like postman because it provides a complete and user-friendly api testing environment. with postman, i can easily create organized collections for different project, which helps keep all api requests structured and manageable. it also allows importing and exporting collections, making it simple to share work with team members. additionally, i can invite teammates directly to collaborates so everyone can contribute to the project in real time. as a backend developer, i use postman daily for testing and validating apis, and it significantly improves my workflow and productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes postman becomes slow, especially when i have multiple collections loaded. it occasionally needs to be restarted because, after being idle for long time, certain requests don't execute properly and get stuck in a continuous loading state. the ui can also feel slightly complex for new users, and sharing collections with teammates can be a bit confusing for someone using it for the first time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
postman solves the problem of efficiently testing and managing multiple apis. when i test an api once, i can save then request along with its payload. this make retesting much easier because i can reuse the same payload, modify it slightly if needed, and quickly send then request again. Postman also supports pre-request and post-request scripts, which is very useful. for example i can automatically save tokens to my environment and reuse them across multiple requests without manually copying and pasting each time. another major benefit is environment management. i can create separate environments like local, dev, staging or production and simply switch the environment from the dropdown. postman automatically picks the correct variables for then entire collections, which save a lot of time and prevents mistakes. since some apis developed by me and some by teammates, using the same shared collection helps everyone stay aligned. if i need to test an api created by someone else, i can easily find it, run it and reuse the saved request. postman also syncs between the desktop app and the web version.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Postman for its UX and ease of use. The learning tutorials are helpful, and the features they keep adding reduce manual switching and tab hopping, making the experience smooth. I find the ability to store auth/secret keys in variables incredibly useful, as it makes testing multiple APIs that require an auth token or key much easier and hassle-free. The initial setup is very easy, and I love how it allows non-tech people to verify and participate in API validation and testing without relying on terminal or curl commands.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think more work on Postbot is needed. I would love an end-to-end automated testing workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Postman for API testing, it removes the need for terminal commands, allowing non-tech POCs to participate in testing, reducing blockers. Its ease of use, UX, and features like storing auth keys decrease friction and make multi-API testing hassle-free.

Simplified API Testing with Seamless Team Collaboration

  • November 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I deeply appreciate Postman’s simplicity and speed, which allows me to test and validate APIs quickly without the hassle of extensive setup. Its ability to send requests, tweak inputs, and see results instantly is incredibly valuable to me. The toolstreamlines my API testing with quick request validation, saving my test collections for easy reuse, and automating tests. I also love how Postman enhances collaboration within my team by sharing collections, environments, and documents. This feature ensures everyone is working with the same resources, maintaining consistency across the board. Additionally, the instant synchronization when requests or scripts are updated avoids confusion and speeds up onboarding for new team members. The integration capabilities of Postman are fantastic, as it works seamlessly with GitHub, Jenkins, and Swagger, facilitating the pulling of API docs, triggering automated tests, and syncing collections for version control. The initial setup was very straightforward and quick, enabling me to download it, create a workspace, and start sending requests within just a minute.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that Postman can become slow when handling large collections, which hampers efficiency. Furthermore, version conflicts can be perplexing when multiple users update the same workspace simultaneously. Debugging scripts in Postman could also be improved; it lacks advanced debugging features such as breakpoints or step-by-step execution, forcing me to rely mainly on console logs which isn’t always ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman solves slow and inconsistent API testing by enabling quick requests and validations, reusable collections, test automation, and team collaboration through shared workspaces. It simplifies workflow, ensuring consistent testing and efficient team synchronization.
