Great tool for building and testing web APIs
What do you like best about the product?
Every so often a development tool comes along and is so good at what it does it becomes the standard, and that is the case for Postman. I like that this tool works the same on all platforms that I develop on, and I write code on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and it looks and functions exactly the same on each. I like that my workspaces are stored in the cloud and where ever I go and whatever workstation I login to my work follows me. You even have the option to work in a web browser if you are on a strange machine. The UI is intuitive, and if you need help the documentation is pretty good. You can continue to use the free version as long as you want without any pressure to upgrade until you are ready.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything that I can think of that I don't like about Postman. As it has matured it has fixed all the thing I had problems with, such as working with services that required authorizations. I use a very specific set of Postman functionality for my work, and for those tasks it meets all my requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Postman to to test web APIs built in ASP.NET Core and Java, and it works equally great for XML and JSON based APIs. I also use it to document existing APIs that I did not develop but am required to support. I have even used to it to debug web apps because it is so simple to rig up HTTP/HTTPS requests in this tool and fire them at a server. The main benefit I have realized is I don't have to spend a lot of time writing HTTP request code to test the APIs I work on, and this saves me a good deal of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is no reason not to try it, because it is free to try, and the free version will probably meet most needs.

What do you like best about the product?
This software is very useful tool and very much set up and use. You can use it through the whole cycle of API development
And testing as well. The documentation I find it is very useful and connectivity functionality is amazing as well. Flexibility of defining multiple environments is very helpful while testing and also you can use javascript to write your test cases.
I am QA and I would recommend this tool for all testers who are working on API testing.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are not too many major flaws which effects the overall quality of the software but might be licensing for some features which are available in other rival softwares like Katalon or to able to select multiple folders inside a collection for execution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used postman predominantly for API Testing which is very easy and helpful. I test authorisation of headers, token, & response body etc in my tests. I work in different environments & write tests (some predefined and some user defined using javascript). I could use these saved tests in collections which allows me to reuse again whenever I need without writing repeat tests and saves time for me to deliver good quality output. I share my collections with other team members as well for the references to implement if required.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As I mentioned above, Postman is amazing software for the API testers and developers which really sorts all API requirements and helpful in achieving their desired results with minimum fuss and reliability. I recommend this Postman app for all companies who are looking for reliable and stable API tool for their businesses.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best, is the UI of the Postman, where I can hit Api's with distinguished parameters, ease of control & access, &how Postman allows us to visualize the response data, formats & data format type of the response.
Also, we can manage the history of the Api's that we have worked with, & all those history points, help me a lot in day to day life.
Also, postman also allows me to save the data, of every api that I hit through the interface, along with the request formats &response formats, which helps a lot in day to day debugging of the Api's creation &management.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about postman is that while it shows the history of all the Api's that I have worked with, in the past, but what I can't access on opening them, is the request & response data from it, because of which, sometimes it takes extra time to complete work or satisfy my needs to check the response of the developed api, so that I can know what is the response in the current scenario, &make the changes accordingly, so that I can get the desired output, & so that I can also test the response data solutions of the developed Api's as well as the third party Api's efficiently & can manage them according to my needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a software engineer, particularly backend at that, so I use postman to check that for every api that I create, what is the result that I get, related to it, for the current api &how I can make changes into my api to make it according to our application specifications, which can help us in smooth working for our app, &show us the response that we need, via which we can approve the api testing & creation process, & then we can proceed with the usage of Api's into our app, so that our merchants can get efficient outputs, at amazing speeds, & without any errors.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to copy and paste requests and then postman auto parsing parameters for editing. This make it so much convenient to edit your request! Big time saver! Also love its ability to sync requests and save history!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike! Never had any issue with this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid testing is what we are using this for. Biggest benefit is saving time with active testing.
A full end to end tool for testing
What do you like best about the product?
A great software tool for end to end testing with json .to make valuable and bug free outputs . Easy to use and generate results which are fully automated tested and output driven.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing . As it solves all my problems for Automation testing easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use to testing and bug evaluation for the final product. As it's a open source which is easily available to get the output and results. I used to test json files for my java application.

API Testing Easy with Tracing from Chrome Browser

Hanging. Lot of Times its get hanged. No idea why

To call APIs inside a session and make authentication like oauth via APIs etc

What do you like best about the product?
Postman enables you to build a request with the correct HTTP methods and parameters very quickly, you can easily send and inspect the results. In sets, you can arrange experiments and share with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you come from a background in programming, it sucks not to be able to flexibly reuse the written code or add requests to various projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its fast i mean easily understandable lots of tutorial available for this tool.Easy to create various test suits.

I am using postman from last 2 years. It's very good software.
What do you like best about the product?
I am using postman from last 2 years. It's very good software to hit apis for API development as well as for testing. We can write scripts in it to manipulate or strore that data in variable and use that variable in any other apis. We can also store variables according to environment like testing staging prediction if we have to use different value for different environments, Because of this we do not have to change static values each time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great product . I don't dislike anything but one small thing which i think can enhance productivity if its have auto save funtionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for hiiting apis in development mode. We can right script to store data in particular variable and use that variable in other apis. Like store access token after login and after that simply use that variable in which we have Store the access token. Its data store funtionality is awesome.

Postman have a great and large community of users. It it support development and API testing. Also it is an easy to use and robust tool to test APIs with a really affordable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
This software involves a slight learning curve . Initially was difficult to understand how to use .
