Postman is a great API testing tool
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is one of the best and widely used tool for API development and testing. Postman offers a very user friendly interface that helps in simplyfying the whole API cycle. we have used Postman in many of our work and it has delivered the great result. Postman has wide variety of feastures that is available for testers and developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of now. Postman performing very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman is helping us by solving many problem in API developement and testing process. Postman provides user freindly platform for documenting APIs,testing and designing. Postman helps in simplifying the process of analyzing response, sendind request, it's very helpful in reducing time and effort that will be spent on Manual testing.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman makes API testing simple and efficient with its clean interface and powerful features. I especially like how easy it is to organize requests into collections, use environments, and automate testing with script. Sharing and collaborating with teammates is seamless, and the built-in code generation is a time-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Postman feels a bit heavy, especially on slower machines - It can take time to launch or switch workspaces. Also, while most core features are free, some advanced collaboration tools are locked behind paid plans, which can be limiting for small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman simplifies API development by allowing me to test, debug, and automate requests all in one place. It eliminates the need for writing custom scripts just to interact with APIs, saving a lot of time. With collections environments, and built-in testing, I can easily mange multiple APIs and ensure consistency across different environment. It's helped streamline collaboration and reduce errors in API integration.

Very easy to use. Has lot of features like collections, environments etc.,

It consumes too much resource. sometimes my system freeze or go to unresponsive state

I always use postman for testing my APIs when it is in development stage. It helps me troubleshoot issue or validate the response data

Best API Testing Tool - Postman
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is very easy to use and get started with. The amount of features it has like exporting your api collection, or importing it in any format being it json, curl, url link, everything works quite smoothly. The tool is almost never down and is the best tool to use for testing apis and checking responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no downside i have found so far with the product. The application is quite stable and has been working amazingly in my system since years now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use postman as a frontend developer to test and check the responses of the APIs provided by backend developers. Postman for me is the first step before any work or feature gets added to our frontend application. Be it header, be it blocking 301 requests, be it format of the response or the request structure, postman helps get every api issue resolved in the first step of our development process.

As a long-time user of Postman and a professional who has worked with various backend testing tools, I can confidently say that my experience with the testing frameworks and methodologies at TCS has been a revelation. The company's approach to backend testing is a masterclass in efficiency and user-centric design, and it has truly elevated the process beyond anything I've encountered before.
The most striking aspect is how seamlessly the testing environment integrates with the development lifecycle. Instead of a disjointed process where developers and testers operate in silos, the TCS model fosters a collaborative atmosphere. This is particularly evident in their use of internal tools and custom-built libraries that are designed to complement popular software like Postman. While Postman is excellent for its ease of use and powerful features, the solutions I've used in my experience to provide an additional layer of automation and a more structured approach to API validation. The frameworks allow for the creation of reusable test suites that are easily managed, scaled, and integrated into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

I miss it as an extension In VS code last time when i used it. But I believe it’s coming so soon.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is a powerful and user-friendly platform for developing, testing, and documenting APIs. It simplifies the process of sending requests, analyzing responses, and managing API environments. Features like collections, environment variables, test scripting, and automated workflows with monitors make it ideal for both individual developers and collaborative teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not each time, but sometimes when it's been active for a long time it takes too much RAM of system and need to restart.

I always test my API's on postman after deploy the code to server to verify and cross-check the request and response.
While working on a project, I first test the API given by backend developer on Postman only
Sometimes I need to clear or update the data without front-end client, in that case Postman is the only tool I prefer.
