All in one tool to handle APIs efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
Recently, I have been using it for testing out web sockets powered by socket.io regularly for a month and still using, testing it out felt like a breeze. I have used other numerous features offered by them like the workspaces, insights. It allows to share easily with coworkers which helps to implement, integrate and document properly. I have never felt the need to approach their customer support till date.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet, used their extensions for VS code, web client, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing is much easier, helps to debug errors way faster than traditional checks.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Postman is a powerful tool for API development and testing, one area that could be improved is its performance when handling very large collections or complex workflows — it can become sluggish or unresponsive at times. Additionally, managing environments and variables across multiple teams can get a bit cumbersome without strict naming conventions or governance. A more streamlined way to manage shared workspaces and enforce standards would make collaboration even more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman is solving the challenge of fragmented and inconsistent API development workflows by providing a centralized platform for designing, testing, and documenting APIs.
One of the best tool for API functional test and Automation testing
What do you like best about the product?
One of the most liked features in Postman in we can generate scripts using Postbot and can schedule the run of the collections at the specified time, and we can do performance tests as well in Postman, so this is an all-in-one tool for API testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
One feature I didn't like about Postman is, if the script stops in between the collection execution there is no option to start it from there again we have to run whole collection or we have to deselects the API which is already executed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most useful thing about using Postman is we are using it for API Automation in which the collection will execute daily at the specified time this will saves time for our testing purpose as I am a QA it saves so much time it is intergal part of our daily task and for the functional test we use the Postman to execute the API's.

The pricing is a bit on the higher end that can be a bit reduced.

It helps in API Develeopment and software testing, it has greatly improved efficiency of my team

For newbees it's confusing to setup the authentication part sometimes,but ones familiar there no problem

What do you like best about the product?
Postman makes API testing easier with its easy-to-use interface, which makes it simple to make, send, and look at HTTP requests. The collections feature is one of my favourites because it helps me organize and automate my workflows. Its support for pre-request scripts and environment variables makes it very flexible, especially when testing in different environments or stages.

Postman is great for things, but it can use up a lot of resources when you have a lot of collections or long runtimes. Sometimes syncing between team workspaces takes a longer than expected and it can be hard for beginners to learn how to do advanced scripting or automation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman makes testing and developing APIs a lot easier, It helps me find and fix bugs in REST APIs more quickly and reliably. I can easily test a lot of different situations in development staging and production without having to rewrite code by using collections and environments. Also it means you dont have to write your own scripts or use CURL over and over again. Sharing requests and results with team members makes it
A good tool for API testing for individual users and teams
What do you like best about the product?
Generally, as a developer postman is one of the most used tool for me. It helps one to try out from simple rest-api to complex web socket. Cloud sync is on top of that, want to share the url of a staging link or header of staging link, put it once and the entire collection has it synced across all the users.
There are many other features that make it better than other tools like hopscotch, insomnia etc. Flows, Mock Servers etc allows us to imitate the backend without going through much hurdle.
One another thing is Postman Lite Client - can be used without logged in and very light weight
It is very easy and straightforward to use. But definitely once got in hand, advanced scripting allows one to automate lot of this things in API testing/visualisation

The application can be considered a bit resource heavy since it is an electron application.
The pricing seems to be bit high and the limit of 3 users on a team is bit disappointing

Testing and visualisation of API and trial runs before frontend integrations are considered to be the thing Postman solves

What do you like best about the product?
NO setup required, we can test the APIs easily with local server or remote server securely, we use this often when frontend is not ready yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything looks cool for now, but there are features which could be provided to free users as well, this puts more value for many free users out there

Without the other external app/UI dependencies it makes the devs work easier by providing simple easy to use tool, saves lots of time, and it was more reliable.

Postman is the most useful tool for API testing. It helps to easily done the API testing with multiple end points. It also supports web socket testing. Postman tool has option to run series of tests. Tool also has low latency.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of AI features are the major drawback faced in postman. Also each time the variables need to be changed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman verify API requests and give the status codes. User can identify whether the request is valid or not.
