Easy Rest API testing tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is very simple tool for testing APIs. It has lots of easy to use functions like monitoring, environmental variable etc. I really like the UI and UX.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Postman caching make issue when new update come.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall it is great tool for SW developers. We are using to test API s and generate swagger for APIs.

Postman is one of the most helpful tool for developers to test there rest APIs in a fly.
It saves time and let us test all kind of request like JSON, form-data multi part etc.
We can use an application or we can also use a browser extensions and plugins to test the request and response of APIs

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes my apis work and validated on postman, but in real they are not validating the authorization tokens.
If you are working with multiple collections, sometimes it will be troublesome to manage.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman enable me to test the APIs in my application easily and also help in converting JSON to plain text quickly.

Its a magical tool, when it comes to test and validate your APIs, it empowers great features and let you test all kind of http requests GET, POST etc.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about working with postman is that when developing an API, you can easily test the requests you develop and share with the members of the development team, as well as adding examples of the requests for teams that are working in another part of the project, such as a web page or mobile application that will consume the API services accelerating the development process. It also has many features to test your API services such as the ability to chain requests and test response data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something that I really dislike about Postman is the way in which you have to send the arrays in the requests, if you have to send a very large array you will have to enter the elements of the same one by one in the form of a list by hand and things They get worse with multi-level arrays.
Sometimes my projects do not synchronize when I log in to other devices and something that I also dislike are the few interface customization options.

With Postman it has been possible to detect errors in the structure of the requests and problems with the response data before releasing the final versions of the product.
We have also been able to replicate requests from third parties to learn how other companies do.

For those who use Postman on remote devices it is good to add examples to your requests and document as best as possible to have a good understanding between the different parts of the team.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman has the most important test methods that are POST, GET, VIEW, LOCK, UNLOCK and many more. The best thing is that it allows to store data of tests carried out. In addition, it has a simple user interface, so it is not necessary to be an advanced user to carry out a test. I also like to be able to customize the interface and change its color.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that Postman eliminates the API tests, because it is very easy to forget the URLs or what was requested, besides the body code. The history of the tests should always be maintained.

It is very easy to test my APIs developed in PHP to verify its correct functioning. I did not need technical knowledge to learn how to use this program, because the learning curve is very short. In addition, it also allows me to test APIs created in Java.

I recommend the use of Postman for the development of API. It is a powerful tool and it will be very easy to use or learn to use. In addition, there is a lot of online documentation to guide you in your tests or developments.

Simple and easy to use and organize your work. I always test my API calls in Postman before implementing them in code or other places - you can clearly see what works and what doesn't, re-use previous work, convert your configuration to code, authenticate with all common methods...

When working with APIs (mostly for setting up integrations between our internal tools, or to troubleshoot our own API), POstman allows me to easily create, re-use, tweak, and save API calls. It makes it easy to figure out the right call before implementing it elsewhere.

Only javascript is supported to creating global variables and passing the values at run time .

Pros:
The ability to set up global variables to be used across APIs.
Collection and Team workspaces are great for collaboration.

There is no option for sorting or color customization. When we work with multiple collections of microservices, color coding will help to quickly find out the APIs.

We use Postman for REST API testing .

If you are going to work on microservices with lot of team colloboration, the free version may not suit you - Go Pro.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the exhaustiveness of this tool to shoot out HTTP requests
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool offers a lot. So much that sometimes it becomes difficult to navigate. This is definitely not a con but the only thing I dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Invoking Rest APIs and shooting HTTP requests. I was also able to store sessions so that I dont have to remember details.
