Great tool for building and testing web APIs
What do you like best about the product?
Every so often a development tool comes along and is so good at what it does it becomes the standard, and that is the case for Postman. I like that this tool works the same on all platforms that I develop on, and I write code on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and it looks and functions exactly the same on each. I like that my workspaces are stored in the cloud and where ever I go and whatever workstation I login to my work follows me. You even have the option to work in a web browser if you are on a strange machine. The UI is intuitive, and if you need help the documentation is pretty good. You can continue to use the free version as long as you want without any pressure to upgrade until you are ready.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything that I can think of that I don't like about Postman. As it has matured it has fixed all the thing I had problems with, such as working with services that required authorizations. I use a very specific set of Postman functionality for my work, and for those tasks it meets all my requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Postman to to test web APIs built in ASP.NET Core and Java, and it works equally great for XML and JSON based APIs. I also use it to document existing APIs that I did not develop but am required to support. I have even used to it to debug web apps because it is so simple to rig up HTTP/HTTPS requests in this tool and fire them at a server. The main benefit I have realized is I don't have to spend a lot of time writing HTTP request code to test the APIs I work on, and this saves me a good deal of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is no reason not to try it, because it is free to try, and the free version will probably meet most needs.

Best tool for testing API Endpoints!
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to copy and paste requests and then postman auto parsing parameters for editing. This make it so much convenient to edit your request! Big time saver! Also love its ability to sync requests and save history!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike! Never had any issue with this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid testing is what we are using this for. Biggest benefit is saving time with active testing.
I am using postman from last 2 years. It's very good software.
What do you like best about the product?
I am using postman from last 2 years. It's very good software to hit apis for API development as well as for testing. We can write scripts in it to manipulate or strore that data in variable and use that variable in any other apis. We can also store variables according to environment like testing staging prediction if we have to use different value for different environments, Because of this we do not have to change static values each time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great product . I don't dislike anything but one small thing which i think can enhance productivity if its have auto save funtionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for hiiting apis in development mode. We can right script to store data in particular variable and use that variable in other apis. Like store access token after login and after that simply use that variable in which we have Store the access token. Its data store funtionality is awesome.

Sometimes the app is slow to load huge queries

I test many existing as well as in progress RESt endpoints

Try google chrome plugin as well
Postman is good for API testing, i have used it for so long and always has been very good experience

its free and very easy to use and test Rest API. they keep on adding new features all the time, API testing is made easy with Postman, there has been times with chalenges in api validations and testing but postman had made things easy moslty all of the time, the best part is its very easy to confugure basic api call and you can also save it for future refernces.
What do you dislike about the product?
it had an issue with auth, also not much tips is available to how to use auth types.
some of the failures that this product postman had in past was a lot to do with support and help to the community and discussion forums. not sure what receelntyl has changed but there was some issues in past.
we use this product and day to day for design the api, develop and do lots of testing and validations, we know there are some other products similar to this in market, but in my view this product postman is the best and most useful.

mostly we use it daily for API testing which are restful and sometimes external as well.

the user interface of this product postman is very easy to use and it gives some out of box features which are very use full to a new user who is just starting the API development or is just new to software development itself.

give more support and documentations and tips to use advance settings and configuration, it is good product when you want to do anything with rest API, we all know how API is growing in current world and to keep up with that we absolutely need product like postman to help us build design and validate/test Rest API. it is very easy to setup and start using it, almost anyone who know how to download and install software from internet can make use of it

honestly nothing. everything is so easy to use.

Testing api before starting coding. this saves a lot of time that we should otherwise be spending implementing the code to test a new API.

GET/POST method with all features. All Response type changing facility.

I mostly use postman for REST api test, Response is very helpful for crate pojo/modal class in java, it's save my time.

The interface is very user friendly and it is very easy to use tool. Really good in testing the APIs and multiple environment creation.

It's a great tool and user interface is also good but the interface can be improved as per the standard of 2021.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to test and validate my api requests before using it inside of my codes. It helps me in getting the desired out put with less chances of errors and messy debugging of code.

Postman is really a great tool and once needs to be patient to learn this tool effectively. It can make your job a bit easier.
