Centralized Multi-Cloud Security, But There’s Room to Improve
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is how it delivers consistent, enterprise-grade security controls across multi-cloud and hybrid environments, while still staying highly scalable and automated. I also value its deep integration with cloud-native services, along with centralized management that makes it easier to maintain visibility, enforce policies, and respond to incidents in a more streamlined way.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that the initial setup and configuration can feel complex, especially for teams that are new to Check Point or to cloud security architectures. On top of that, the cost and licensing model can be difficult to optimize for smaller environments or for rapidly changing cloud workloads, which adds another layer of challenge when trying to keep things efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Check Point CloudGuard Network Security addresses the challenge of securing dynamic cloud environments by delivering unified visibility, advanced threat prevention, and consistent security policies across multiple cloud platforms. For me, this translates into simpler day-to-day security management, a lower risk of misconfigurations, and more time to focus on detection and response instead of maintaining complex security architectures.

Clear visibility and smarter risk prioritization across cloud environments
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it gives real context around risks, not just alerts. The visibility into workloads without deploying agents is a big plus, and the way it prioritizes issues saves a lot of time for the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s a learning curve at the beginning, some features need time to configure properly, and the platform can feel overwhelming until you get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Consolidated Cloud Security Solution with Great Visibility
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP for its unified platform that handles our security concerns across different cloud environments. It's great to have one platform for AWS, Azure, and GCP, and I especially appreciate the visual map it creates of our network, as it instantly shows where risks might be hiding. The unified visibility across all three major clouds is fantastic, and the interactive visual network topology mapping stands out. I also find the 'shift-left' security integration very valuable. It embeds security checks directly into our DevOps pipelines, allowing developers to fix issues in code before deployment, thus keeping problems from reaching production.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP addresses our core needs, improvements could be made regarding its complexity. The platform requires significant manual effort to tune the initial setup and reduce false positives across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. Finally, enhancing the flexibility of the custom policy creation engine and simplifying the licensing model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP to handle all our security concerns in the cloud, providing unified visibility and control across AWS, Azure, and GCP. It solves security blind spots with continuous scanning, streamlines compliance, and centralizes management, reducing the need for multiple tools.
Unified Risk Management with Easy Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP for providing a unified view of risks across all cloud accounts, which makes it stand out significantly. The platform's ability to highlight misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps in one place is immensely valuable. I find the automated recommendations particularly helpful, as they clearly indicate what needs to be changed and why, streamlining the process of addressing these issues effectively. The end-to-end security features, including posture management, workload protection, vulnerability detection, and compliance across multiple cloud accounts, offer me comprehensive protection and peace of mind. Using CloudGuard CNAPP alongside our SIEM for alert correlation and our CI/CD pipelines for shift left checks has been quite seamless. Switching from native cloud security tools and a lighter CSPM solution to CloudGuard CNAPP has been a rewarding decision, further emphasized by the score of 9/10 that I would give it when recommending it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some dashboards feel a bit crowded, with too many widgets and risk categories packed into a single view, making navigation more cumbersome. Digging into deeper technical details requires a few extra clicks, which could be streamlined. Noise can build up if the rules are not tuned early, presenting an overwhelming amount of information that needs to be filtered out. A few integrations, especially the cloud account and workload connectors, require more manual setup than expected, which adds complexity and time to the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP to secure our cloud environments with posture management and vulnerability detection. It helps us find misconfigurations quickly and maintain compliance across multiple cloud platforms, providing a unified view of risks and automated recommendations.

Strong Threat Prevention, Seamless Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Check Point CloudGuard Network Security for its strong threat prevention, which is crucial in protecting our cloud workloads. It effectively blocks cloud-based attacks, which adds an extra layer of security beyond what native cloud controls offer. I also value how seamlessly it integrates into our existing Check Point management stack. This smooth integration not only saves us a lot of time but also helps in maintaining consistent security policies across our operations. The ease of setup, especially for users with experience, is another aspect that I find commendable. Overall, these features significantly contribute to the product’s effectiveness and enhance our cybersecurity framework.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of Check Point CloudGuard Network Security can increase significantly as your environment grows. Because traffic inspection—particularly for encrypted data or east-west traffic within cloud networks, as well as inter-region traffic—requires both compute resources and bandwidth, an increase in traffic volume will naturally lead to higher expenses.
