Premium compliance automation suite
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy and convenient to implement and use out-of-the-box, there are many supported integrations and the support is good. I use it daily to monitor our complaince status.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's the most expensive compliance automation system, and they charge extra for each module that is typically included in other platforms (user access review, trust center, security questionnaires, etc.).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Vanta to manage our SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001 security compliance programs.
It's all in there!
What do you like best about the product?
The Vanta team has thought through all of the possible ways a business may need help in every aspect of data security, from detailed project planning, to continuous monitoring to keep us in check, and to templates that make staying update on policies and procedures super easy. It's the total package.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are about to need to become HiTrust certified and we wish that we could have used Vanta on the next step in our security journey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping us secure in a real time monitoring manner that gives our current and potential clients comfort that we are indeed secure.

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service was responsive and respectful of our company's work schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a misunderstanding with Vanta initially regarding the scope of the privacy compliance process. Our expectations were set for a more comprehensive consultancy than was initially delivered. However, after this was clarified, Vanta responded by assigning more hands-on consultants to our project, greatly enhancing and streamlining the entire process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 Type 1 Compliance
Solid platform that is helpful for organizations needing to maintain their compliance requirements.
What do you like best about the product?
Covers several commercial frameworks, has a solid UI, and pretty granular security settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was FedRAMP authorized so I could confidently use it with our DIB clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for keeping all the data required to track compliance in an organized manner.
Vanta - A mission critical system for achieving and maintaining SOC 2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is a mission critical system to enable us to remain SOC 2 compliant. It has integrations with all of our systems, from our cloud hosting provider (GCP), to GitHub, to Rippling (our HR software) and more. It raises actionable alerts that we routinely monitor and respond to. Overall the setup is extremely easy to implement and use. The support team has also been steller, helping us pick up new compliance solutions (e.g., HIPAA) where appropriate. Right now we're in our audit period for SOC 2 and I use the product every day. It's extremely user friendly and all the alerts come with actionable, step-by-step feedback to correct them.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little I dislike about Vanta. Maintaining SOC 2 compliance without this kind of tool would be a nightmare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps us stay SOC 2 compliant, which is extremely important as we sell our product to large organizations who really care about that compliance.

What do you like best about the product?
I can see the state of different certifications all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of automatization. It would be possible to fix some tests automatically, I wish Vanta would have solution for that.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Vanta makes SOC 2 compliance a step-by-step checklist of policies and automated tests. We're alerted whenever we have items that need to be looked at and fixed. It's about as pleasant as compliance can get while still maintaining control of the details.
What do you dislike about the product?
It'd be great if Vanta had wizards in the product for constructing policies that fit the company.

Becoming SOC 2 and GDPR compliant.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta keeps you honest. With the tracking SLA's, regular reminders and the dashboard ensure that tasks don't fall through the cracks.
Vanta helps you mature. We were able to improve our policies with the template examples provided.
Vanta keeps adding integrations. It's very easy to connect to different applications and platforms making it simple to pull in compliance evidence.

What do you dislike about the product?
Managing the scope of users is a bit tedious. Some integrations don't distinguish clients from employees which requires frequent de-scoping.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supporting the collection and management of evidence for our SOC2 Type2 audits.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's dashboard and associated reminders ensure that we remain compliant in all aspects of our business operations. They take the guesswork out of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't really see a downside. If anything, it would be that there's a level of granularity that we don't need as a professional services company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta makes sure that we check all the boxes from managing our peoeple through to compliance with all of our policies. First and foremost, this includes our own expectations of internal security along with the security and care of our client's data. SOC 2 compliance is becoming a more common requirement for our professional services work and Vanta provides the seal of approval that our clients are looking for.
