What do you like best about the product?
Vanta outlines and segregates giant task into smaller tasks and stories which make it easy to plan out, work on small tests, track progress and better outline the project plan and milestones when working towards a security certification.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta is great, I did notice a slight delay in updates when multiple users are working on Vanta, it is very important to constantly refresh and track progress accurately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is helping us better understand the requirements that go behind a security certification and allow us to work on it by segregating requirements into a task which are easier to do.
Almost mandatory for small companies to achieve SOC 2
What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to Vanta, our small company was able to tackle SOC 2 certification without breaking the bank. Their checklists and automation tools were incredibly helpful, and we couldn't have done it without them. Plus, their customer service was quick and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be a bit unclear due to some features being only accessible through an additional paywall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps us achieve and maintain compliance for SOC 2 (and maybe more in the future).
Continuous compliance at ease
What do you like best about the product?
This took continuous compliance to the next level. We are always ready to be audited anytime during the year, as my team and I are continuously alerted on any policy violations. This tool is great for any size GRC team. The Risk Management is now a level up compared to the previous version and helped board members view the risk matrix easy to understand our posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
The access control can be further enhanced, for example there are only two roles, Editor vs Admin. If a team is planning to review a vulnerability, I have to give them a higher privilege such as "Editor. while all they needed was a read-only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC II Compliance was a targeted focus, but we now utilize this tool further for security operations.
Great tool to navigate through certification requirements
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta helped us identify the areas we needed to work toward our certification. Then integration with AWS and Azure AD saves us a lot of time in continuously monitoring our systems and making sure that we remain compliant and that the whole process is not a "one-time exercise".
Our Customer Success Manager (Taylor Buckler) helped us from day one until certification, and we were not dropped after the onboarding period.
As a product, there are a lot of new features getting released often enough to keep us engaged.

What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few product glitches and issues in the early stages, especially since some features were released during our onboarding. However, Vanta Support and Taylor were there to assist us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helped us get ready for our auditing, not only with the tools (i.e., Vanta templates or integration with AWS) but by also providing a "meter" as to how close we are. It is exciting seeing that you are at 50% and then do a few things and go to 60% and keep trying to get to 100%. Once you cross the 95% mark, it feels like hitting a high score on a video game!
Of course, keeping the meter at a high level is the second part of the game after the certification, and Vanta makes it easy to identify areas that need attention. So it is not a one-time tool, but an ongoing essential part of our business.

Vanta has been incredibly helpful in securing our systems and completing a SOC2 audit.
What do you like best about the product?
The extensive integration with GCP and other vendors makes it very simple to satisfy most audit requirements. Many people vendors used by startups are supported.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be time-consuming to handle situations where the default tests executed by Vanta do not

Being able to achieve security certifications efficiently. Vanta allows us, even as a small company, to be able to automate security scans, documentation, and security audits.
A one stop shop for compliance management
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta platform is intuitive and allows a high level of automatization and customization, and provides out-of-the-box integrations. The platform is evolving rapidly, and the product team listens to the customer needs. All integrations we are using are working well and are easy to set up, and we see with the roadmap features that missing integrations will be available. Online help is helpful and allows self-learning. The Vanta Academy is a great added value with small videos showing how to operate efficiently within the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frankly nothing! The only point we pointed out during the evaluation was the 3rd party vendor feature, which was recently resolved with the recent addition to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to reduce the effort related to SOC2 audit preparations and continuous compliance review. Also, help to keep the IT teams focusing on controls instead of reporting with automation.
Providing an auditor portal also reduces the overall cost of performing the SOC2 audit. They can also streamline finding the right audit firm with an impressive list of auditors collaborating on the platform. Instead of investing in lengthy manual processes, Vanta helps to place the investment where it brings the most value for our team by reducing the internal effort to support the audit firm.

Not perfect but in constant improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful about Vanta is being able to organize, view, measure and monitor your requirements and their status. Best thing about working with Vanta is definitely their team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not very customizable, so it was sometimes difficult to adapt to a small company like ours. The Vanta team is always happy to receive feedback and improvement wishes, and some were even implemented.

Vanta is centralizing all our effort in one tool, which makes our work so much easier and saved us a lot of time.

What do you like best about the product?
The compliance monitors are great, coupled with the built-in security best-practice tests. Vanta has greatly reduced the time, understanding and effort to review compliance. I also love how by integrating some of our critical business systems, the tests are already mapped to the compliance standard's requirements, and we can easily demonstrate to stakeholders our compliance levels.
What do you dislike about the product?
The risk management module is relatively rigid and we have not been able to customize it to our needs. This includes the impact and likelihood definitions and risk levels.
The vendor module lacks depth but is good for entry-level compliance tracking of supplier risk.

Vanta makes compliance (I dare to say) fun
What do you like best about the product?
- Love the way Vanta has gamified compliance. The app makes it fun to work towards getting each progress bar to 100%.
- Great integrations with the critical pieces of our stack: AWS, Google Workspace, Github, etc.
- The trust report has been a great tool to send to prospective customers proactively.

- The web application is a little buggy and can get slow during peak usage times during the day.
- Missing a few integrations that would allow us to have all of our cloud systems monitored in one place

Vanta's software product guides us in our journey to become SOC2 compliant. At the same time, their team is super helpful and recommends trusted partners & products to help us fulfill various aspects of SOC2 compliance.
