What do you like best about the product?
Vanta allows me to keep on top of all of our requiements for various frameworks with confidence that we will meet the requirments so long as we address issues. The integrations allow us keep on top of changes in our infrastruture and are easy to configure. I get daily reminders of items that need to be addressed. I've only had to contact customer support once and they were helpful in resolving the issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta takes a bit of time to configure and initially set up but is worth it with the time you save in the end. Some of the integrations can be a bit finky at times or don't do what you might expect but most work great and customer service is willing to take feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is our primary tool for allowing us to ensure that we are SOC2, HIPPA and GPDR compliant

What do you like best about the product?
Automates a lot of the mundane, repetitive tasks apart of the SOC2 audits. Does most of the heavy lifting with templates and automated tests.
What do you dislike about the product?
In an ideal world, all integrations would be inbulit into Vanta out of the box, reducing the last few spots where screenshot uploads are needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps automate the evidence collection process for SOC2. It saves a lot of time from collecting screenshots and pdfs from many different places.
Easy to navigate and drill into tests
What do you like best about the product?
The clean interface and that it's consistent behavior throughout the UI which makes it easy to use once you have learned the platform

It is a threshold to learn the "Vanta way"

Overview of vulnerabilities detected, systems coverage and SLA to address issues

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's integrations help us uphold our desired standards of compliance. They have simple dashboards, trackers, and notifications that guide us in the right direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overwhelming number of emails received with notifications about compliance. Likely can change the settings, but the default is to be notified about every single little thing and it's hard to keep track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helped us achieve HIPAA and SOC2 compliance and now allows us to continue to monitor or daily operations to ensure we remain in compliance.
Makes Compliance Much Easier
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta lays out all the controls for you with reminders, so it's easy to stay on top of compliance. The support team is helpful, and the vast number of integrations makes access reviews much smoother. The built-in security training for team members is also a great addition, helping keep everyone aligned on best practices. Overall, it takes a lot of the headache out of audits.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations are missing, and the control numbers didn’t match up exactly with what our auditors expected, which caused a bit of extra work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps us stay on top of SOC and PCI compliance by organizing all our controls, automating reminders, and simplifying access reviews through integrations. The built-in security training keeps our team informed, and the platform makes audits much smoother by ensuring we have everything in place ahead of time. It saves us time and reduces the stress of managing compliance manually.

Ticking system is confusing (I cannot seem to access it in the Vanta portal).

There are lots of resources, perhaps too many resources. Template policies are a bit clunky. Can only operate in 1 company name and templates for multi subsidiary companies does not exist yet.

An essential service for internal account operations as well as compliance.

The management of employee onboarding and offboarding is revolutionary.

More features would be nice, but there are many paid options. And it cannot be easily subscribed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Good at detecting software vulnerabilities, but many are detected and cannot be resolved, such as those for which no fixes have been released

Streamlined Compliance with Robust Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Vanta's numerous integrations, which we utilize and find to be generally quite deep. They help us maintain transparency in how things are set up and ensure everything stays compliant over time. I'm glad we chose Vanta over Drata because of its clean interface. The whole policy engine and onboarding experience are very clean, making the organizational experience quite positive. Setting up Vanta is literally so easy, contributing to the positive experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when Vanta's rolling out new AWS or GCP policy controls, it can be a bit difficult to keep a clean slate internally. Even with our small portfolio, when they're rolling out a new task that might or might not be relevant, it's not a smooth exercise because usually you have to plan engineering changes to accommodate them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta for implementing compliance controls internally and ensuring we remain compliant over time. It helps us remain transparent with how things are set up through integrations and ensures compliance stability.
Compliance automation and tracking made easy
What do you like best about the product?
The visibility and tracking of the tests and requirements in Vanta is really good. The ability to see if tests are overdue, due soon or need remediation and to be able to filter by category is extremely helpful. The Trust Report is very well done and a time saver as well. The Assets module also provides good visiblity for our inventories.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to add more than 5 resources in the trust report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta's ability to provide insight and visibility in to the different controls and requirements for our SOC 2 and PCI audits is great.
