A Platform cannot replace the experiences of an Expert, but our CSM was always very helpful and introduced us to the relevant people.

Vanta agent is glitching in detection.

Intuitive, Comprehensive, and Integrated
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta provides walkthroughs of all the significant steps to get your organization into the desired INFOSEC posture. Our firm uses Vanta for SOC2 compliance readiness, and the step-by-step instructions, assessments, and integrated monitoring have drastically simplified the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
User administration isn't intuitive, even though it's linked through your identity provider. My issues with fully understanding the differences in security roles may be a function of the total time spent digging into the topic, but Vanta doesn't provide the same level of step-by-step instruction/help that you get with other components in the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed SOC compliance to help us sell our SaaS product offering, and Vanta helped us achieve that target. New sales (particularly to enterprise clients) would be nearly impossible without it.

The policy template editor is slow on firefox (but it's really really minor)

We wanted to be ISO 27001 compliant as well as RGDP compliant

Vanta gathers all the requirements to simple and clear dashboard - it is easy to follow the progress!

AWS integration was not as simple as we expected initially, and eventually we were not able to integrate Vanta to our AWS environment.

We want to be PCI DSS compliant, thus Vanta provides us with overview of the progress.

- Templates: We had a lot of policies and did not utilize Vanta's templates but they were great as a cross-reference to make sure we had all areas covered
- Monitors: Make it easy to keep up with tasks before they become an issue
- On a tight deadline and having everything organized made it easy to make sure we were ready to begin our audit window

- It's pretty expensive
- There were not integrations available for a lot of products we use
- Targeted more towards organizations that exist entirely in the cloud, leaving some holes for anyone with primarily on-premise infrastructure

Vanta has helped us ensure we had all our bases covered when heading into a SOC2 audit. It helps to decipher the compliance requirements that could take weeks to months in some cases to go through.
Overall a good audit platform
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is an easy way to get your certifications done. The platform is designed to be user-friendly, making it accessible to even those who don't have a strong technical background. Additionally, Vanta provides clear and concise instructions that guide users through the certification process, making it much easier to get certified.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the pricing for Vanta is reasonable, it's hard to get an overall price for Vanta + Audits. The price estimations Vanta gave us for audits were a factor 2-3 under the quotes we got from Audit firms.
Vanta does provide excellent security/compliance scanning, but it may not always enhance the actual security as it often feels more like paper security. . However, these minor issues do not detract from the overall quality of Vanta as an audit platform for small businesses.

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly platform, policies templates were very useful
What do you dislike about the product?
The implementation process focused on just getting us to do a few tasks before getting a CSM felt pointless. Not due to the implementation person, but having calls on these things is a waste of time. I was pulled in late so perhaps a self service guide was shared - but would have been more useful to me personally.

Great software and support to prepare you for an audit.
What do you like best about the product?
It scans your infrastructure after integration and lets you know what you need to work on and what vulnerabilities you need to fix for Audit of Choice, be it ISO27001 or SOC2 for example.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you need based on the information and menus available. At times you need to drill down pretty deep to find certain vulnerabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is preparing us for our ISO27001:2013 and 2022 and SOC2 Audits. Without the guidance of Vanta and the great support we would be totally lost figuring out what systems were passing standards.

Vanta offers a great interface to view compliance and stay up to date on all the controls.

Support for some of the Linux distro is lacking. It is worth checking before implementing a new OS on your environment.
However, manual evidence can be provided so we can stay compliant and have Devs on their prefered OS.

Vanta allows us to be SOC2 compliant while providing an easy experience for both our company and our auditors.
