Vanta is great for employee onboarding on SOC2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is great at managing computer assets, onboarding new personel and monitoring security vulnerabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to integrate and automate filling out the "owner" and "description" of cloud assets that are dynamically created. There should be a way to automatically assign these assets to a particular owner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC2 compliance, employee onboarding, policy creation.
You won't even notice it's running
What do you like best about the product?
The setup was straightforward; I just had to install the application and sign in. I didn't even notice it after that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find anything that I disliked about Vanta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company got the SOC2 certification.
Solid product. Makes getting through SOC2 a lot easier. UI getting better too.
What do you like best about the product?
Everything you need to do is in one place. SOC2 compliance is just a headache and having the guidance and structure of Vanta helps a lot!
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI wasn't great to start, but honestly, it's getting better quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to get SOC2 compliant for our business needs. I don't think we'd be nearly as close this fast without Vanta leading the way for us.
Seems like very easy to install client part and use it in general.
What do you like best about the product?
First of all Vanta is the easy way to get SOC 2. Upsides of using Vanta are easy to insatll, client can be install on different OS, convenient viewing/monitoring of general statistics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find usless things about Vanta. Just maybe just tiny point I've met that after installation Vanta client on Windows 10 inventory statistic wasn't available here (https://app.vanta.com/inventory). I've solved it just reinstall Vanta client.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta's automation and structured, checklist-lick process makes it easy for those who are new to the SOC2 process to figure out what to focus on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many areas that still require us to make guesses, or ask the Vanta team members how to answer. For example, what's acceptable to skip? What are we allowed to disclose?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had customers ask us for SOC2 audit, and companies that have done this in the past or provided prep were all much more expensive. This was a cost effective solution.
Very helpful product and quite easy to use

Easy integration with most of our services, ootb templates to get started with policies, auto scans for integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many emails cause I am to lacy to search for the settings

Quite fast process to get ready with an auditor for soc2 compliance

Great tool to automate your SOC2 compliance checklist
What do you like best about the product?
It keeps track of everything SOC2 related. It has pre-build connectors to Azure, AWS, Office 365 etc so you just add them and then Vanta is monitoring them automatically and lets you know if you are missing anything from SOC2 prespective.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you install the agent on a pc it takes up to 24h to update on the vanta portal; also some of the changes you are doing on AWS/Azure takes time to get reflected in Vanta. It is almost like it pulls the changes every 24-48h instead instantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auditing and preparing for SOC2 Certification. Instead of having a list of items we need in excel and going through each of them, we let Vanta do the job and let us know what we are missing.

Ability to quickly identify all actions to be taken in order to achieve right level of compliance. Included best practices

Editing some policies is very repetitive and could be made faster
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaining compliance and showing our customers we have right processes in place keeping their data securre.
Quite user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I love how it allows us to view all of our employees and applications in one place. It neatly organizes their machines, OS versions, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It'd be nice if there were some way to mark a person as "not yet". For example, we have had an employee out sick for the last few months. We cannot mark her as not a person, nor can we remove her from the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Vanta for our SOC2 security audit. It is beneficial to have such a broad overview of all of our employees. This saves us money by saving us time.
