It is a central repository for all our data. In the realm of data quality, DataGalaxy is our strategic partner. It's like a microscope revealing hidden imperfections. A complete, simple, and effective system
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to associate the business and the I.S. within a very open tool with a simple and pleasant interface. A very simple SaS implementation to put into practice.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is so open and modular that it requires careful consideration of your work and usage methodology before starting. This is a strong point of the product that can be disorienting at first.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to perform a complete end-to-end lineage with links to business definitions and process domains allows for considerable time savings in problem resolution or the implementation of new projects where there was systematically a significant phase of reverse engineering, and not always complete.
Beyond this use, which is rather "data-expert" oriented, Data Galaxy is also expected to become indispensable for business data users, by easily giving them access to business definitions and their applications.

The visualization and graphical navigation of data and the implementation of a data model on about 50 tables.

* Nothing yet ;-), we have been using the tool for less than 6 months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data Galaxy offers a set of features to build and enhance the company's metadata. The heterogeneous sources of this metadata are fed through connectors and are validated via a customized validation process. It allows the business, R&D, and technical teams to come together around the same tool and thus encourage a "data" culture within the company.

DataGalaxy solves the problem of consolidating concepts and definitions among collaborators, facilitating information sharing and enhancing overall teamwork efficiency. This benefit translates to improved communication, streamlined workflows, and a more structured approach to data management. By using DataGalaxy, users can ensure clarity and consistency in the understanding of concepts and definitions within their organization, leading to more effective collaboration and decision-making processes.

What do you like best about the product?
The proposed metadata model is flexible and easy to understand. It is highly customizable allowing you fit its adoption within use cases or help you increase the knowledge around data. The product has several connectors for the most common technologies with accelerates its implementation and provides a user-friendly interface for users to increase its adoption.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the product is super flexible and the documentation is good, it lacks concrete examples (at least from an industry standpoint) to further increase its expansion. Another point is its lack of granular assignment of access and securities to ensure that the right people can maintain their particular objects.

I like how simple it is to administrate and all functionnalities (APIs, Azure users management...)
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest as an administrator I don't truly dislike something about Datagalaxy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datagalaxy is now our main support to rely of for our Data Governance strategy.
