Flexible Tool with Easy Project Templates

  • May 11, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana for internal and external projects and for task tracking. It enables me to keep track of where I am, what I'm up to, and gives me all the details I need about the project or tasks I'm working on. I like its flexibility and the ease of creating templates for repeatable projects and tasks. By creating these templates, it's easy for myself and my team to repeat these tasks when required with guided steps. The initial setup was very easy, and I appreciate how I can use it in conjunction with Slack.
What do you dislike about the product?
There used to be a bookmark in the side bar for Templates, this has disappeared and now you have to pretend to create a project to get to the template to select it and edit it. It would be easier if this was returned to the side menu bar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to track project details and tasks, set templates, and create guides, making repeated tasks easy for my team.

  • May 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Asana for its simple and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to navigate. The powerful task and project tracking features are excellent, making collaboration very straightforward and helping to keep projects organized. It provides clear visibility into deadlines and responsibilities and tracks important progress, which is crucial for our workflow. The task management and project features help me stay organized by clearly showing priorities, deadlines, and assigned responsibilities. Features like reminders, timeline, and progress tracking improve productivity and streamline team collaboration. The initial setup of Asana was very easy, with a straightforward process of adding tasks, assigning team members, and setting deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Asana is that some advanced features like detailed reporting and automation are limited to higher-priced plans. Also, managing very large projects can sometimes feel overwhelming because of the number of notifications and task updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for project management to solve task management problems, streamline team collaboration, and keep communication organized. It helps manage deadlines and responsibilities, while features like reminders and progress tracking improve productivity and efficiency.

Intuitive Layout, Easy Project Management

  • May 08, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the layout of Asana; it makes it easy to see tasks at a glance. Setting it up was very easy. I like that it reminds me when I have a meeting on google calendar and notion because of the integration, and if someone mentions me in a task it will send me a email if I don't open it. We don't use it for performance or pricing, but the AI suggestions can be helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very user heavy, but I think that's just how these types of products work. I've never had to reach out for support from Asana, but the projects are very helpful for when I onboard clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for managing projects and deadlines. I like the layout as it makes it easy to see tasks at a glance and if team members aren't setting reasonable deadlines for themselves.

Clean, Layered Portfolios—But Sluggish at Scale and Limited Automation

  • May 08, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clean, simple interface that’s easy to navigate. The ability to stack portfolio structures is quite useful, especially when I want to organize things in a more layered way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex projects are not the best fit for Asana. As the number of tasks grows, the interface can become sluggish.

There are also some important constraints when it comes to establishing relationships between tasks and setting custom properties. Custom properties are project-based rather than task-type-based, and they are not searchable.

Automation is also somewhat limited with the built-in automation capabilities (for example, there are no cross-project interactions). Given the overall simplicity of the tool and the lack of more advanced features found in other task manager solutions, I find the pricing to be on the higher end relative to what you get.

Native AI capabilities are also limited or hard to get value from. E.g., the AI workflows AI functions are tricky to implement getting the desired result.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We aim to provide our customers with clear visibility into current service delivery activities. Our goal is to foster collaboration among team members by integrating and standardizing workflows across different teams, while also improving the employee experience through the centralization of key knowledge.

Streamlined Team Collaboration with Easy Setup

  • May 08, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flow in Asana and how you can add to different projects without creating a new one. The sharing feature among team members is great because it cuts down on the time we'd otherwise spend in meetings. Plus, I'm a fan of integrating it with Outlook, particularly for assigning tasks through Outlook. The initial setup was very easy, with no issues at all, and the support from the university helped a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it requires a project to be added to another project, which can be a bit cumbersome. Also, the feature of automatic collaboration where you're assigned a project, but you might not have a clue about it, could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to navigate all our to-dos, cutting down on meeting times with its flow and sharing features.

Easy to Use Task Tracking with Great Tools for Project Sharing

  • May 07, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, even for dummies:) We are a small company, but all of my colleagues are able to use it without any problems. Great features to keep track of tasks, sub-tasks, deadlines. I really like the notifications and the task sharing option. I like it's low pricing and the AI features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit passive about the overdue tasks, I would appreciate more reminders, especially after the deadline has passed.

Great for Organizing Projects, but Task Moving and Google Sheets Alerts Need Work

  • May 07, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It helps organize projects of all kinds, from marketing work to the admin side. There are a few features that aren’t included in the subscription we currently have, and I wish I could try them out to get the full experience of what Asana has to offer. The automation rules are useful because you don’t have to keep manually changing statuses; alternatively, when you do change a status, it can automatically move tasks to the right place. Overall, it feels like it has more potential than how we’re currently using it, and I’d like to explore more of what it can do.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few limitations. For example, it can be hard to move tasks or subtasks around on different boards. I usually have to play around with it to figure it out, and it often feels quicker to delete the item and re-enter it in the right spot than to spend time working out how to move it properly. I also don’t like that it keeps adding a new message to a task when a Google Sheet is integrated and someone comments on that sheet. Most of the time the comment isn’t relevant to the task, but it still pings me as if it is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all projects in one place with clear deadlines—and being able to see other people’s tasks that are relevant to you without having to ask where they’re at—is very beneficial for saving time. It’s also helpful to have access to the files and images teams have uploaded without needing to check multiple different platforms.
