Seamless Collaboration for Cross-Functional Teams

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Asana allows cross-functional teams to be in a single place. Teams from sales, creative, and operations can all use the same source of truth and collaborate within this single tool, which is great. Asana also solves the problem of having a single place that serves as the source of truth for project and deliverables status. It helps us assign due dates, manage dependencies, and maintain visibility, keeping us on track to drive key outcomes. Instead of relying on fragmented updates or communication, Asana ensures alignment across all of our teams so we can complete projects efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the features (notifications, boards, comments) can get overwhelming, but this is more of a user issue than anything. Any way to simplify would be great. For example, smart filter to focus only on high priority updates, or cleaner way to organize and collapse comment threads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to track client projects and deliverables, serving as a single source of truth for project status. It helps assign due dates, manage dependencies, and maintain visibility, ensuring alignment across sales, creative, and operations teams for completing projects.

Effortless Collaboration and Organization with Asana

  • December 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Asana for managing my projects. What I like most about Asana is how I am able to collaborate easier, making working with my peers smoother and more organized. The templates we've been able to create in Asana are fantastic, and without them, I know I would miss key dates. I really like being able to search projects my peers have done so I can get examples of what to do myself. I also appreciate how I am able to search projects with my peers and when I post something in my own groups section, it stays organized. The templates create all the necessary sub-tasks required to get a project off the ground smoothly. It was a seamless transition for me when I started using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess how quickly it sends emails and notifies others of things added. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to complete my task or project updates and the email has already been sent to my peers - and I wasn't ready for them to see it. I think a bit more of a delay would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for managing projects, knowing timelines easily and templates make tasks smoother. It helps me collaborate and stay organized, and I can search peer projects for ideas.

Accountability has improved!

  • December 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I value Asana for its functionality. Having previously used other tools like Workfront in a large enterprise setting and Monday.com at a smaller agency, I’ve noticed that each platform offers features tailored to different organizational needs. What sets Asana apart for me is its method of assigning responsibility: only one user is marked as accountable for completing a task, while others can be added as collaborators without being the main stakeholder. In contrast, other platforms often allow multiple people to share responsibility for a single task, which can lead to confusion. Asana’s approach has greatly minimized internal misunderstandings in my experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not especially pleased with how the views are organized. Sometimes, it's hard to review the dashboard and get a clear overview of the tasks for each project, as well as for each team as a whole. Moving quickly between tasks and their subtasks can also be tricky. Although having subtasks within subtasks might appear helpful, I've noticed that if these aren't thoroughly described, important details can be missed. This can result in tasks being overlooked, particularly when deadlines or proper assignments are missing. My main issue is that you have to assign admins to every single team or project individually in order for them to have editing permissions, which is both tedious and occasionally difficult to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has helped us address our communication challenges and the absence of historical data. It’s now much simpler to refer back to previous projects when beginning a new one that’s similar. By eliminating guesswork, I no longer need to involve my team for clerical details that can be automated with templates. This allows my meetings to focus on more meaningful discussions, as I have access to the detailed information necessary for the actual project work.
