Love this tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is so easy to use. You can easily sort, prioritize and check off tasks. I love that it has different ways to input the information. Like lists and checking off your to-dos? More of a sticky notes person? Or do you prefer to see everything at a glance on your calendar? Asana has you covered!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, really. Very intuitive to use and very effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for organizing your day and communicate with a team.
Amazing Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to prioritize my tasks and organize my day. This software allows me to keep myself organized and keeps everyone that I serve happy!
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack of reporting options for the free accounts. I understand that there needs to be a reason to purchase, but working at a nonprofit means we don't have much in a budget for this kind of thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Asana to manage all helpdesk and IT projects going forward. It helps my team stay organized and on task every day.
Pretty good product, but honestly I find myself reverting to pen and paper for tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I think being able to assign people tasks is helpful. We also get very detailed with the tags we put on for different projects. For example we use it to categorize by which action items get brought up at which meetings. We also use it to be able to communicate about check up calls so everyone is on the same page. I also like the feature of being able to comment on other people's projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't have your whole team on the software it doesn't really work since you have to follow up on different channels. We use it mostly for customer support, but I also have marketing responsibilities, so it doesn't work as well for those. Again if you have your entire team on it you're better off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to plan out long term projects and tasks within our smaller group. We have about 12 people in our team and it definitely makes our processes easier, but we just have to stay on top of keeping it updated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely make sure your whole team is using it and not just part of your team. It makes a lot of a difference, because if someone is out of the loop it sort of throws the whole thing off. When you get set up make sure every team has their own project and that there isn't too much of an overlap, where things could get confusing.
Intuitive and easy as long as on desktop
What do you like best about the product?
Asana offers you an easy to use project management tool that nearly everybody can get behind and grasp after a couple of minutes use. Other than most "free" tools it does not only offer a very broad managing of tasks but also allows you to go into details with subtasks, links and attachments. As well as deadlines and assignements are possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works great as long as you are on a desktop. If you are in sales and have to use it on your phone, while being out with clients - it's horrific. It's just too detailed and you cannot find most things over your phone. You have to use the search function basically ALL.THE.TIME. Thankfully that works quite well for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're connecting two of our locations together with Asana. People can work together closely without being in the same office.
Seamless, intuitive project management software
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an incredibly intuitive and really easy to use project management platform/software that integrates easily into things like Gmail and even Slack. You can easily sort/organize tasks, and you get your weekly to-do list. It's not cluttered, and it has a lot of features that are helping in managing projects, such as marking some tasks as dependent on others, setting up recurring deadlines, and getting a high-level overview of projects that your team is working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some improvements that could be made in terms of organization and better sorting your own tasks. In addition, sometimes it can be overwhelming (and counterproductive) to see ALL your tasks laid out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helpful to track progress on team-oriented projects and being able to make comments directly on tasks/projects so that all discussion is accounted for. It also helps in thinking out all the steps/necessary components of planning a larger campaign, and planning backwards as well for timing to make sure that everything is completed on time. There is a lot less back and forth between team members because everything is laid out in Asana.
Great platform planning and staying organized
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy working with this product because the platform is easy to work with and easy to teach your team how to use. Most platforms similar to Asana get unorganized quickly when multiple team members start uploading tasks and projects, but Asana gives you multiple options to keep things organized and keep your team working in sync.
What do you dislike about the product?
The emailing of each individual task can be overwhelming, especially when starting a new project. I really wish there was a way to put multiple tasks into the system and have the option to email them to the responsible person with one or multiple tasks listed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using the platform to put together and organize advertising campaigns and strategies for clients. It's been great to work with in this way because it allows team members to see what others are doing or planning to do and have them plug in their thoughts on the fly. Without this option, we'd be wasting time on multiple conference calls per day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely would recommend this product to anyone working in a team environment. If you're considering Asana, you should take advantage of the free trial to really see how this platform works.
Asana
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is my go-to application for Project Management. I have many clients and I am able to functionally organize them and schedule our tasks. I am able to bring each organization into my Asana separately so that my clients can use the application as well.
Asana is easy enough to use. Many of my clients are not tech savvy yet, feel comfortable using the app. There is also a great integration with Gmail as well as a Chrome extension.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. The integration with Gmail takes some getting used to. It can be clunky and if you forget a step, it will not save to the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and Task organization. Nothing slips through the cracks as long as each item is scheduled and assigned correctly.
Communications with clients remain in each task so things don't get lost in email strings.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the tutorials, especially when migrating from another project management tool.
Makes life easier
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is much more comprehensive and easier to navigate than the other solutions my company has tried. The calendar view makes it very simple to keep track of my tasks and when I need to be working on them. And the addition of private tasks that my coworkers can't see means I can also keep track of professional development and other obligations so they all appear on the same calendar.
What do you dislike about the product?
It logs you out a little more frequently than I'd like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana allows our Marketing, CX, and Development teams to collaborate on projects and for everyone to be able to see what work is being done. We've reduced overlapping work and improved productivity with Asana.
Chief of Staff
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to use XFN with my entire team, with visibility across the entire organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to be able to assign a single task to multiple projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. Roadmapping. Tracking client deliverable cycles. Benefits = maintaining a global view of all workstreams at both a high level, and micro level, all in one place.
Helpful tool for collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
Keeps task in front of everyone and helps track progress. We use it to help 100+ employees collaborate on a huge conference. Too many tasks to keep up with, but with Asana it was all managed and helped us pull off a great event.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a job to get familiar using it. Takes too much work on front end and can be tedious. All the new users have trouble getting used to it. It seems like it takes more work to mark a task completed than it does to actually complete the task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration from distance. I have no idea how we would track progress and help everyone stay focused on various tasks required for our conference.
