I've used a Manage Engine product since I started IT...
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Manage Engine, in general, is there committment to transparent, up-front pricing structure, which allows customers to understand and anticipate costs effectively. However, this advantage marks the limit of its standout features.
What do you dislike about the product?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central, while aiming to be a versatile tool, unfortunately presents a uncohesive, visually overwhelming, and unresponsive user experience. Its ambition to wear many hats results in a lack of mastery in any specific area, suggesting a need for a more focused and streamlined approach. The software would benefit from a redesign that emphasizes core functionalities, followed by strategic, thoughtful additions.
Adding to these concerns are issues with outdated public repository scripts, exposed security credentials in easily accessible logs, and the risky feature of sending custom scripts directly to ManageEngine with just one click. These security oversights could warrant renaming the product "Vulnerability Engine."
The customer support experience compounds these problems. Support teams often promise extensive help, giving customers the impression that their issues will be addressed. However, this usually ends up being a tactic to delay and pacify, leading to prolonged, unresolved customer issues.
Furthermore, the software's API access is predominantly restricted to read-only activities. Gaining more comprehensive access requires persistent requests from users, often met with initial denial by support staff. This secretive approach to feature accessibility, like the existence of undisclosed endpoints, raises concerns about the software's transparency and ease of use.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint Central does offer the functionality to install applications remotely, which, I guess, is its main benefit for us. This feature somewhat streamlines the software deployment process, allowing our IT team to manage installations across different systems without being physically present at each machine. While it's not a groundbreaking improvement, it does save a bit of time and effort, particularly in scenarios where remote work or management is involved. So, in a basic sense, it's useful for maintaining a certain level of operational efficiency.
Endpoint Central is a powerful tool for IT Administrators
What do you like best about the product?
I love this tool and I think it is a powerful tool which is solving day to day problems of IT administrators. It has a plenty of features and I'm going to describe : If you want to passout any message for a group of computers then it's a agent based solution and you can do that by selection of domain and computer whatever your requirement is by using announcement feature. You can grab IT assests information from this tool. You can have immediate support by any of the available product specialist with a single click by using the chat support facility. It has some security features/options as per HIPPA compliant. You can manage any computers either it is in domain or workgroup because it's an agent based solution. Wake On Lan is a great feature inbuilt in Endpoint Central. Formerly it was known as a Desktop Central. You can create Distribution Server for patching for various locations to stop bandwidth throttling. And last but not the least it has plenty of features/modules that an Organization or IT administrators use to perform day to day task from a single console or you may say from a centralize location.
What do you dislike about the product?
It comes with Cloud and On-Premises Editions but if you go and check you will get to know that some of the options and features are missing in Cloud Editions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine has their own Engineering team, if they found something wrong or misssing or not working as per expectation , customer's need/requirement then they are trying to fix it at the same moment or later by releasing its own hotfixes.
