What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to set things up if you just want some resources and pages
- Easy to use for editors
- Easy to do a POC
- Easy to demo the added value to a client
- Easy to explain to users that has already used concurrent CMS like Contentful
What do you dislike about the product?
- Some tutorials or documentation are unclear if it's the old or new version of Storyblok API
- Hard to find information about global components
- Edit "global resources", like "Project" that can be displayed as a card or as a page
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Preview of the actual compoinents in a page content
- Draft pages
- Easy website workflow using webhooks and NextJS ISR
- Export components that permit to share the "SEO" component between projects

Outstanding CMS With A Lot Of Great Features

  • January 13, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Storyblok is easy for technical and non-technical people.
2. We can easily set up roles, permissions and restrictions.
3. Storyblok has an excellent way to log changes. We can easily track the changes made and who made them
4. The UI and UX is really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
- At times, the management API is not very dependable. Its behaviour can be unpredictable.
- Search functionality is not that usable. You often cannot find what you are searching for, which can be challenging as we have thousands of pages on Storyblok.
- Upgrades are not always backwards compatible. After the Storyblok V2 release, some of our features broke, and we had to roll back to Storyblok V1 and fix them before we could have our users enjoy Storyblok V2
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storyblok has helped us to ensure that each department can focus on its expertise. The system has enabled us to improve employees' overall job satisfaction as it is user-friendly to both technical and non-technical people. It has also reduced a lot of mundane work. It has also helped us to launch more products way more quicker.

CMS made easy

  • January 01, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I always thought using a CMS required technical knowledge. Only through Storyblok did I understand that this is not the case anymore in 2023. Adding features through drag-and-drop + real-time preview makes website building/updating fun instead of being a tedious must-do. Glad my team moved to Storyblok!
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding a button within a block of a Long Text Section wasn't too intuitive for me. The copy button for the block did not work - I had to duplicate one and then paste it. Not too intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Removes dependencies. Storyblok enabled the teams in our organization to remove a bottleneck in Marketing/Product. Now everyone can write content AND update the pages they own without the need to have someone else on another team do it.

So much easier to work with than other tools out there.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use. Every team member can work with it. Even if you do not work as a back-end developer, you can choose what you want the page to look like.
What do you dislike about the product?
That our back-end developer team has to create a lot of templates before we can make use of them. This is a lot of extra work that sometimes does not allow us to make something look pretty, fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves a lot of time. In systems like Wordpress, you need to spent so much time on making sure that everything fits nicely and looks good. With Storyblok you van just add components really easily.

Horrible customer support and onboarding flow

  • November 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That's a damn good question. Only their cheap prices I think.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our experience with their customer support / SDRs are horrible. Resistance right when they get to know that you're not in their Enterprise plan, wrong names when addressing people, not following up on deadlines, and horrible internationalization API. Their API is what any dev would consider very rigid to work with, their docs are horrible, and their customer support doesn't know anything about their own product / API, so there is no human help to get. Good luck to the next dev sitting and guessing how their API is supposed to work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mean their folder structure is kinda good, but that's also it
