Solid block based CMS

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Content types and "bloks" pattern is used out of the box. It makes it dummy simple to build a dynamic site around SSR tech like NextJS and have it be highly optimized.
What do you dislike about the product?
The release/branch/versioning pipeline is not user-friendly at the moment. It isn't intuitive to develop with nor is it to release as a content editor. Preview mode could also be setup to be a little clearer and easier to use. Explaining the URLs in preview to a content person and this release pipeline has been our greatest struggle. Additionally, out of the box auto-generated typings for TS would be a nice DX improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content management.

Easy to work with a promising headless CMS

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A very good headless CMS with great preview function. The visual editor simplifies the collaboration with the editors. Especially working with Bloks is super pleasant, so all requirements of the editors and designers can be implemented. Atomic design can be implemented super through the blocks.

Through a folder structure, we can build content analogous to the website. This way, editors can quickly find their way around.

The support is also very good, you get fast and competent help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Through our project we often encountered challenges like flexible header / footer menu structures, here I would be grateful for a defined design option from Storyblok. For example with even more data types.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Storyblok we combine an online store with classic landing pages where different products can be advertised or simple content pages can be created. This way we can exploit everything with one system.

Nice CMS with a lot of possibilities

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features of Storyblok is the possibility to collaborate and create content internationally.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flexibility and adaptibility has a cost. The use of Storyblok is not as easy as other CMS. Users need a bit of time to get acquinted with the UI which is not the most self-explained interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Storyblok, we can create content internationally as well as local individual content without having to use different systems.

Headless CMS for content editors

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think Storyblok is the only CMS with WYSIWYG functionality. Content editors always need this functionality while editing/adding content. Instead of clicking on many links to view the preview.
Management API & CLI to update the component without actually going into the interface.
If you are looking for a SaaS Headless solution for small and medium size projects then it is one of the best in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
User management is not mature enough for enterprise or medium size projects. As an example, it is not possible to have roles for developers. The Developer will have access to the administration of spaces.
Management API should also be improved to use space in a classical environment fashion.
It should also be improved to have multiple projects in one space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SasS headless solution for both editors and developers.

The new way to deliver content to your website

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the way in which storyblok meets the needs of the user, a user-friendly system with all the necessities to provide your website with content.

In addition, the documentation to make the link to your website is of a very high level and therefore the implementation is very simple
What do you dislike about the product?
the only downside for me at the moment is that my environment is not much developers use it yet, that story block still have to grow within the developer culture
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
storyblok helpt mij bij het vertalen van de gehele website op een makkelijke manier. als developer kan je nu de klant hun webiste laten vullen.
This means that de workload is much less

New version with improved UI and functionalities

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to be used for non tech folks, intuitive. Allows to preview the changes you are providing real-time and has a good system to track the process of the publication and in the new version it also enhances cross-teams collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The assets management still has a few opportunities and challenges to be tackled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building a website with flexibility and content management system.

    Computer Software

Just a really awesome headless CMS with great documentation

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The visual editor and the simple integration with my favourite frontend framework for static site generation Nuxt.js.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a bit at first to get a round the concepts of bloks and stories although when you have understood it, it's rather easy and streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a handy tool where I don't have to change code all the time to add new content to a page (like my blog) and benefits web performance in contrast to other CMS systems like Wordpress.

The future of digital storytelling

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like best about Storyblok is without a doubt its visual editor. Not only has it been revamped and re-imagined in V2, but it's intuitive and content-editor friendly. It's the "drag & drop" experience we've all been waiting for. And to top it off, they have an amazing community to boot.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Storyblok is when compared to CMS's like Contentful, it isn't as "battle-tested" as one would say. In turn, it is prone to some hard-to-debug issues (even with the visual editor) with not as many resources to help you get unblocked. The app store/marketplace is also lacking but the same can be said for a variety of CMS's out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my agency, we're looking to build enriching experiences for our clients that not only let them to make compelling visual content but empower them to do so at ease.
