What do you like best about the product?
As a developer user, what I appreciate most about Storyblok is its seamless and intuitive content management system (CMS). Storyblok's modular approach to content allows me to create dynamic and engaging websites with ease. The flexibility of its headless CMS enables me to decouple the frontend and backend, giving me the freedom to use any technology stack. The real-time collaboration features also streamline the content creation process, making it easy to work with content editors and other team members. Additionally, Storyblok's robust API and extensive documentation empower me to integrate and extend functionalities effortlessly. Overall, the user-friendly interface, flexibility, and developer-friendly features make Storyblok an invaluable tool for creating modern and dynamic web experiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Storyblok offers a robust platform for content management and development, there are some aspects that users might find less favorable. One potential drawback is the pricing structure, which could be seen as a bit on the higher side for smaller projects or individual developers. Additionally, the learning curve might be steeper for those who are new to headless CMS or prefer more traditional content management approaches.

Some users have also reported occasional challenges with the performance of the visual editor, especially when dealing with larger and more complex projects. Furthermore, while Storyblok has a range of integrations, users might find that some specific integrations they require are not readily available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storyblok resolves content management challenges through its modular and headless CMS, providing flexibility and scalability for larger projects. While some users face occasional performance issues with the visual editor, the platform's integrations enhance development efficiency, even though specific integrations may not be readily available. Overall, Storyblok streamlines content creation and management, offering valuable solutions despite certain limitations.

Great Headless CMS

What do you like best about the product?
It's so simple to use, and we don't need to apply it 100% in our projects, we can customise it to fit the exact project needs. The visual editor is excellent, and something that several other headless solutions don't include, it makes it attractive for our clients who aren't super technical.
What do you dislike about the product?
As it's designed to be completely component-based, we've had to build some specific components and Story types to handle things that perhaps would be OOTB in another CMS; for example redirections. But these workarounds are acceptable as the benefits we get from StoryBlok outweigh the occasional frustrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to offer beautiful static marketing sites to our clients, StoryBlok allows our engineers to write bespoke code, with components (Bloks) and the clients to have autonomy in their website without relying on us to make changes. Being headless, it allows us to build optimised sites without compromise.

Using Storyblok was a game-changer for us, allowing us to build great experiences with ease.

What do you like best about the product?
For starters, its learning curve is initially gentle, allowing users to easily start implementing stuff from the very beginning. However, after using it for some time, you begin to discover the powerful features it offers, expanding the initial possibilities to a new level.

I really liked the navigation approach for creating stories, the available plugins that enhance the capabilities of the system, and the ease of creating new plugins by myself. I also like the easy it is to configure different live preview environments, the webhooks functionality, the many approaches you can follow in regards to internationalisation, the flexibility on how to retrieve the content with its APIs.

I've been instensly developing for customers using Storyblok for the last year, and both my experience and the feedback from my customer's have been great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love to have the possibility to define content outside the navigation tree. I don't like stuff like configurations stories to be "using" a route that could be used by the customer, potentially breaking the application. Besides that, I cannot thing of any big issue with it. Of course I'd change some little things, but in the end they are small details that are not affecting the day-to-day development with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to develop really fast based on the requirements given by the customer, making it easy for us to show results to the client in just weeks (if not days), and thanks to the live preview, it helps getting our customer feedback very soon, so we can improve our solution together.

Universal tool for different needs, that can be adjusted for custom applications without CMS

  • November 30, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's thought trough product, were for a lot of things are covered and from content managment perspective developer doesn't have to create new bicycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation for APIs can be updated and for extensions especialy, better examples could be provided how to create them, because currently DX is not the best. Then again, cool ideas are integrated in Storyblok.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content creation and its managment for dynamic pages, created on Sb, were content editors can do a lot of stuff with pre-defined components, without developer assistance. Reduces a lot of developer time to assist creating basic landing pages or changing texts.

    Computer Software

One of the most innovative & easy to use CMS in the last 10 years

  • November 30, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The overall architecture & design of the CMS works flawless. Besides some technolgoical issues in the beginning, the technical integration & project setup worked very well. Also the overall usage inside the CMS and the content editing is simple and fast. Especially for my clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes i need too "hack around" some of the functionality. But i believe that comes from the architecture itself. Also the documentation regarding specific technologies is a little outdated. Took me some tinkering to get everything working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First of all the overall headless approach solves the "backend developer problem". Because you can configurate your backend, you really only need the frontend part developed.
Therefore you have huge savings in development & planning time. Also most of the CMS are bound to internal restrictions. Storyblok does barely have any of these restrictions which leads into a lot of flexibility for me as a developer and also for my clients who build pages & modules in the future.

It's a modern CMS ready for production but has some things to polish

  • November 28, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple modern UI, stories and blocks are easy to understand and implement.
Customer support responds in less than 48h
Integration with the Javascript ecosystem is straightforward
What do you dislike about the product?
No environment isonation, no easy way of migrating between spaces either
These are the only features I miss, but theya are planned to be there next year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The editor team can easily edit our App's content, and we can set up rules to verify it before it goes to production.
