Verkada Implementation
What do you like best about the product?
The system is so easy to work with, from installing and adding devices to network, to navigating the command interface and finding specific footage. Switching to Verkada has been a great decision.
What do you dislike about the product?
Considering we are relatively new to the Verkada universe, we haven't found anything so far that we dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had an existing CCTV network, navigating the interface and finding footage was slow and cumbersome and sometimes we gave up before we found the footage.
The Verkada platform is so easy to navigate and finding footage is the single biggest advantage. This means we are saving time in finding the footage and resolving issues.

Great Surveillance Cameras and Interface - Terrible Access Control reporting and Service after Sale
What do you like best about the product?
Their surveillance cameras and the interface are fantastic. We purchased the cameras after looking at a few options and we were very pleased with the purchase process, ease of installation (POE) and the Verkada Command interface for the cameras. We liked them so much that we converted a relatively new access control system over to Verkada.
What do you dislike about the product?
The company seems unwilling to focus resources on making changes for existing customers. They used to be fantastic about feature requests and assisting the user, but they seem to now only want to create new products and make sales. Support is critical to the long-term survival of a company, and Verkada, in my opinion, is now missing that vital piece.
Second, their reporting is awful. Getting audit logs, filtering users by division, etc. are all either extremely cumbersome or just not possible at all. For a security company, these are MUST HAVES.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Verkada for both Surveillance and Access control. Having both products allows us to use the Verkada Command interface to manage both areas in an integrated manner.

Verkada is a security camera cloud platform that is easily accessible from browser or app.
The web interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, with a configurable dashboard for your often used options.
Cameras can be grouped and controlled by policy if that is what is desired.

What do you dislike about the product?
After thoroughly describing an intended use case to a new sales representative, a subpar camera was sent that was not up to handling the distance required. They have a model that easily would have accomplished the job, but they did not send it for some reason. When a request was made for the appropriate camera, there was a delay of three weeks for a demo unit. The delay was not because one was not available, but because our rep could not convince someone to send one out to us. Not sure what the problem was, but after three weeks we moved on to another vendor. Shortly after we switched, the rep came up with a camera and then tried to guilt me because we didn't want it anymore.
I am sure this was an isolated incident, but annoying nonetheless.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Verkada's cameras and monitoring services are helping with loss prevention and fraudulent claims. The ability to scrub quickly through footage and to locate by time/date has been an indispensable time saver.
Great product, outstanding service
What do you like best about the product?
Verkada is a well-designed product with excellent integration.

We haven't discovered a downside to any aspect of the Verkada product line.

We are undergoing a substantial security upgrade that exceeds anything we have ever had in the past.

What do you like best about the product?
Representatives are amiable and helpful. Cameras are easy to use and install.

I didn't dislike anything. Everything was fine.

Verkada is solving safety - student safety. Our school is benefiting from the affordability of the cameras.

Verkada has every feature you need or even want in a security system! SUPER easy to install, or make changes to the camera/system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Check out their extra camera mounts; they come in handy for various environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Verkada solves "on-site" NVR problems and breakdowns. Everything is stored on the cloud and is failsafe, protecting you and your business from costly downtime.
Easy to use system
What do you like best about the product?
The system was easy to implement and took very little effort to get users onboarded and comfortable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing. Both license and hardware costs are significant when compared to other products and competitors. As a customer, I definitely have some work to justify the expense even if I do love the product.

Getting non-technical users the access that they need with a well-developed solution.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, installation, cloud backups, and low maintenance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our installer was terrible. They are so easy to install we should have just done it ourself.

We didn't want to mess with a local video servier. Verkada takes care of that and provides cloud backups

What do you like best about the product?
The process of installation was very simple. Just plug the camera into your network and quickly configure the Verkada Command portal. We were able to see all of our camera's in a matter of minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are you will pay a license fee every couple of years to use the portal, but the hardware has a 10 year warranty and is well worth the continued cost for monitoring your environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to monitor the interior and exterior of our commercial warehouse building. This camera system from Verkada helps us see problems as they may arise and provide video after the fact if it is needed. Also able to track people that should not be in and around the building with automated alerts.
