Business OS
What do you like best about the product?
The Redhat OS is a well funded OS that gives guarantee's that its customers will be running the most commercially secure OS available, RHEL is the enterprise desktop and server that is Red Hat’s bread and butter. It’s based off of releases of Fedora – the community-maintained, Red Hat-backed distribution that’s free for everyone. RHEL places a high importance on stability, since it’s meant to be used on mission-critical systems. The stability and support that Red Hat offers has made it be the top choice for an enterprise Linux operating system. I will say that allot of industry customer I have come across do end up deciding between redhat and Oracle OS - but that is neither here nor there, as they are essentially the same system with different support structures.
RPM's are able to taker the hassle out of installing software on a machine though, I often have to explain it to customers as a redhat friendly .exe file.

What do you dislike about the product?
Unlike Fedora and many other operating systems, Redhat just feels old, it feels like they haven't made any new and exciting design decisions since the late 90's, everythingis blocky and uniformly grey. The secuirty can also be overwhelming to a new user as well, as before yuou can even ssh into a machine running redhat, you must install the ssh-server & relax the firewall options around the ssh ports. Probably good for the more security focused network admins, but it can seem like a daunting task to newbies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Safe, Secure and powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Redhat Linux is one of the most robust operating solutions available, coupled with the ability to further secure the OS to the CIS recommended security settings further strengthens its security posture and robustness.
What do you dislike about the product?
Linux has a lot of options and configurations, getting it right can be trial and error if you are learning and the community isn't as large as the Windows community, that said, there is plenty of resources out there as well as various support options from different vendors. I would recommend subscribing to a well know support channel such as Unbreakable Linux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Robustness and stability are the main reasons, Redhat can run for years without a reboot assuming you are running decent commercial software, that said you need to keep the system up to date with the latest patches as well as kernel updates that tend to require a reboot. Make sure you choose a decent antivirus for the server as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Important to configure to the CIS template and use SeLinux if your software allows for it.
Linux has its place in the datacenter and Red Hat is the best Linux for business
What do you like best about the product?
Stable releases, low resource use, industry acceptance.

Clear and very good documentation. Stable without any crashes in our case. Very good environment support and community. Stable stable stable and secure ... if it's working don't touch. Flexible license system a special in cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately some case i found. They crash my world when change SysV to systemd... but everything change ... ( " Evolve or Die ") .. They change more interesting things in 7 release but finally we can live with that if of course you adapt. Yep we can said one more thing of course price this product and support is expensive...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Yep we run oracle database real cluster and warehouse on this operating system. We resolve all our instability environment problem. That was our main case i think.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's depend of your needs but yes. For some part of environment you should chose this Operating System.
