AI-driven analytics has improved root cause analysis and predicts performance bottlenecks

  • May 08, 2026
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

We have shortlisted application performance tools, and we are currently using Dynatrace Operator.

What is most valuable?

The AI and the root cause analysis are what I personally appreciate in Dynatrace Operator. AI-driven analytics help with providing predictive insights in our case.

What needs improvement?

Better AI is what we would like to see in future updates of Dynatrace Operator. We would prefer AI that can analyze and inform us about which features we have used that may become obsolete or present issues, such as memory leakage.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have eight people using this solution.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have not found any issues to date.

How are customer service and support?

Dynatrace Operator's customer service team is very good and extremely helpful. They are very fast and well-trained. They even trained our team on-site when our team visited the Dynatrace office.

How was the initial setup?

The setup is straightforward with no issues.

What about the implementation team?

Implementation can take two to three hours if we do not encounter any errors. However, if we experience errors, we need to contact support, which can extend the timeline to two or three days.

What was our ROI?

To date, it is beneficial to use Dynatrace Operator.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licensing cost is very high.

What other advice do I have?

We utilize AI-driven analytics with this product. We track metrics on performance bottlenecks. Normally, the importance of specific metrics depends on the application. For example, if we need to calculate the IO of a system, then IO becomes the priority. Some applications are CPU-based, while others are RAM-based. The priority depends on the application type. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Dynatrace: Best-in-Class Monitoring with Broad Coverage and Low Overhead

  • April 30, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s one of the best monitoring tools available out there. Whatever infrastructure you need to monitor, Dynatrace has it covered—SQL, EC2, application servers, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
It offers a solid range of metrics that you can set up to suit your needs. You can choose between a full-stack install or an infra-only setup, which is a nice option to have. Honestly, there’s nothing to hate: it doesn’t consume a lot of resources and just quietly gathers all the monitoring data with zero impact on users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is the instance down? Is the service down? Is the load on a resource reaching its threshold, or is it just unusual activity? Dynatrace helps answer all of that.

Davis AI Delivers Clear Root-Cause Insights and Real-Time User Monitoring

  • April 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am in love with Davis AI, which does not merely yell that something went wrong it explains why. You get a single answer as opposed to receiving 100 confusing alerts, which saves a huge amount of troubleshooting time. It follows up on what your customers are doing on your site or app in real-time. You are able to know where they are stuck or slow pages to them, which is a massive assistance in keeping users happy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is one of the most expensive tools on the market. It takes a lot of training to get your team up to speed. Getting the advanced features like custom business dashboards to work exactly how you want them requires a ton of manual effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace has been instrumental in helping us to know when our app is slow or broken before customers notice them. It has helped to save a lot of time so that we can focus on critical issues.

Fully Automated Root-Cause Analysis with Lightning-Fast Performance

  • April 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s fully automated. Rather than just flagging an issue, the AI pinpoints the exact root cause, taking much of the human effort out of troubleshooting.
Also it integreates seamlessly with any custom or saas based apps.
The performance is lightning speed fast with ease of accessbility and UI.
The onboarding is pretty straight forward by installing oneAgent for complete monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Costing is very expensive compared to other counterparts making it inaccessible for many small to mid sized companies. The big Giants can afford this but any new startup would have a challenge in procuring it.
The learning cuve is also complex, it requires significant training and time investment. Also for some topics and troubleshooting errors the documentation is outdated with specific frameworks so I have to use trial and error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me unify observability and security while minimizing data silos. I can keep all the logs, metrics, and user behavior in one place. With Davis AI, it provides a single, precise root cause for performance issues, which reduces the time I spend on manual diagnosis.
For me the increased productivity and for the team and also real user monitoring allow me to ee exactly where customers encounter friction or crashes, leading to higher satisfaction and conversion rates.
I can correlate technical performance directly with business KPIs, such as tracking how a slow checkout process impacts revenue or conversion rates

Dynatrace Grail: Super Useful for Finding and Organizing Information

  • February 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace Grail is super useful in finding information with a large amount of options to organize and present it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Davis is the worst AI assistant I have ever used. I can not recall a situation where it has correctly answered a question and is constantly contradicted by the information it sources. I only use it to ask questions. It might be better at anomaly detection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to search and share information insanely easy.

Exceptional Performance, Easy Integration

  • January 29, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Dynatrace applications enable access to information and the dashboards that support the business. I create dashboards that help my clients have a view of their services' performance and navigate through this information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have some cases of dashboard migration from the classic version to the new interface that do not bring all the chart settings. Additionally, for some teams where the language is not supported, it has been more challenging after some tag and log rule definitions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace reduces MTTR, assists in problem analysis, creates dashboards and notebooks, and validates the consistency of the environment.

Unified Monitoring that works at scale

  • January 29, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Dynatrace to support IT teams by simplifying the end-to-end capability around monitoring, which reduces the complexity of fragmented data by providing a single pane of glass. I appreciate the depth and breadth of the supported technologies and the way it standardizes the visualizations of data. Dynatrace consolidates a wide range of technologies into a common view, which is really helpful since our organization has to monitor many different technologies, both old and new. The initial setup was also very easy, especially since we have a SaaS platform, making agent deployment smooth and simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the dashboarding. It's very block-like in its layout. While this is great for simplification, there are times when it would be good to have the ability to fully customize them with potentially overlapping dashboard widgets, backgrounds, logos, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dynatrace to support IT teams with monitoring and observability. It simplifies monitoring by consolidating data into a single pane, reducing complexity from fragmented data.
