My 3 year experience with Outsystems
What do you like best about the product?
OutSystems makes it really easy to build applications quickly without needing to code everything from scratch. The drag-and-drop interface is simple to use but still powerful enough for complex apps. I also like how easy it is to connect with other systems and reuse components, which saves a lot of time. The community and documentation are also very helpful whenever I get stuck.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the platform feels heavy, especially with bigger projects, and build times can be a bit slow. Some things still require traditional coding, which can be tricky if you’re just starting. The licensing cost can also be high, which makes it harder for smaller companies. And because everything runs inside the platform, you end up being a bit “locked in” to OutSystems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OutSystems helps speed up the whole development process, which means I can deliver applications much faster than with traditional coding. It makes teamwork easier too, since both technical and less technical people can understand what’s being built. The platform also helps reduce repetitive tasks with reusable modules, so I can focus more on solving business problems instead of redoing the same code. Overall, it’s helped me deliver projects on time and keep applications easier to maintain
My first time in ONE event
What do you like best about the product?
One of the standout features of OutSystems is how it speeds up the development of complex enterprise applications, all while ensuring scalability and seamless integration with existing systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
While OutSystems is a powerful platform, it can present a steep learning curve at first, especially for teams that are new to low-code development.

The certifications are not the real knowlwge
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Great, fun but a bit too sales pitchy
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, you can truly sense the difference between collaborating in high-code, medium-to-large teams and working within smaller, agile OS teams. OS significantly speeds up the process from ideation to development and then to production, which has made a tremendous impact. As a product design strategist, this environment has greatly helped me transform ideas into real outcomes alongside the respective teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like there to be more focus on specific Workflows and having premade solutions but workflow wise as well as the respective UI elements. I would also like there to be more available patterns with a bigger focus on responsivity and modernizing look and feel to keep up with other competitor systems. A great source or reference from a leader is Material UI and their increasing will to meet with a global user and client base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool establishes a clear foundational language across business, design, and development. When all teams are in sync and balanced, it becomes much easier to address challenges, even the more complex ones.

What do you like best about the product?
Back in the summer of 2018, I was feeling a bit lost and decided to take a risk by learning OutSystems. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
What immediately stood out to me was how easy it was to get started. Instead of drowning in endless lines of code, OutSystems focuses on modelling and architecture, which allowed me to quickly build real applications and see results. The platform is innovative, intuitive, and there’s a strong demand for professionals with this skillset, which opened up many career opportunities for me.
Beyond the technology, the OutSystems community has been wonderful—full of helpful people, shared knowledge, and even some very cool swag along the way.
OutSystems didn’t just give me a tool; it gave me direction and a career I’m proud of. It truly changed my life for the better.
