    Tara Nicole R.

A creative website builder for creative people

What do you like best about the product?
The freedom in Webflow is unmatched. You can change or adjust anything and find custom builds on their community pages. If you've ever felt limited by what other builders can do, or their adherence to templates, this is the site for your site.
What do you dislike about the product?
The trade-off for the crazy freedom and customization you can do with Webflow, is the learning curve. Take a deep breath, expect to spend time looking things up, and keeping a tab open on Webflow University, and try to enjoy learning a new software (as much as one can)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Freedom to custom build a portfolio website that is unique and away from boxed-in template builds

The obvious choice for nearly all marketing websites.

What do you like best about the product?
As a developer, I have built my entire web business off of Webflow. Former WordPress clients love it, and nobody is asking me for custom builds anyway. Webflow really has everything the typical client needs.

From a features perspective, Webflow offers many advantages over the major alternatives (WordPress or custom builds):

— Your entire tech stack in one place, ie. site hosting, SEO, SSL, backups, etc.
— Exceptional security features
— As close to custom coding as you can get while still using a reliable site platform.
— An extremely customizable CMS
— No reliance of plugins that can deprecate
— Non-open source, there's only one Webflow that is always up-to-date
— Massive community with lots of resources
— So easy to spin up new sites and expand them over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
— The CMS should be totally headless. I should be able to make different dynamic templated pages off of a single Collection. Right now each Collection can only have one dynamic templated page type.
— There should be component slots on Collection pages. Ie. if my client wants to build custom case study pages but I want them to appear in a Collection-powered list in multiple spots across the site, the base Collection page can't accommodate that.
— We should be able to remove/re-order classes from the middle of a string of classes. It's pretty weird and annoying that we can't.
— It would be nice to just have a text editor at this point. The GUI is fine but unnecessary since I'm sure it's mostly real developers using Webflow to actually build these days.
— We should be able to see and manage all the CSS on the site in a text editor. Having to add an element to a page, give it a class, then change to the right breakpoint to update the class at that breakpoint is a bit of a nightmare (it's so bad that I just have a global embed for all non-desktop class code).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Webflow makes it extremely easy to spin up everything needed to support a modern website (security, hosting, SEO, etc.), manage the site as it grows and changes, and get clients confident in updating their own site—even building custom pages from scratch using Components. It's so flexible on the dev side that I can always build whatever a client needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Implementation has gone very smoothly for our new site. I really appreciate Webflow University, I still have a lot to learn about the Webflow platform but having an easily accessible knowledge base has been super helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve if coming from another platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Webflow gives us an opportunity to have full creative control over our website.

Better than the alternatives

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, clear and to the point. Designer is great. Templates, components and all that jazz - great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Legacy "Legacy" Editor to be a blurry, vague situation that the strategy teams at Webflow need to reconsider. When you put the word legacy into your product name, what you get - as Webflow has demonstrated - is a de-prioritized old piece of real estate that the development team forget about. And that's basically how their Legacy Editor works.

For further context: when I tried to access Legacy Editor (before I got full admin access) I ran into a huge amount of technical issues and was able to resolve them independently (because I have that knowledge) - but in my journey, I saw that this problem has existed since 2017 and the Webflow staff in the forums give the impression as though they "fixed" everything long long ago. Simply not true.

It's really frustrating to the point that it feels like a scam. If you want to include a different kind of role in your less expensive tiers than develop it properly instead of making us feel like second-class citizens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built and manage our marketing website ongoing with Webflow. www.visual-layer.com

What do you like best about the product?
Webflow is mostly intuitive and components are easy to find and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, it can be difficult to maneuver around the UI, but once you get used to it, it is very easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to quickly and efficiently update website content.

Best website builder I've ever used

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Webflow is how quickly you can bring a website to life with great quality and aesthetics. The platform provides powerful tools for visually designing complex layouts, making it easy to create impressive sites without heavy coding. When you need to go further, custom code options are available so you can push the boundaries even more. If you already have good HTML and CSS knowledge, you can pretty much build anything you imagine. Webflow gives you a lot of flexibility and creative freedom
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I don’t have any negative points to mention. My experience with Webflow has been very positive overall
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets me quickly design, build, and launch high-quality sites visually, saving time and making web creation much more accessible and flexible

Experience as a new Webflow user

  • August 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have been able to build 12 new websites in a short period of time.

The locales feature has enabled easy switching between different markets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Webflow isn't as user friendly as I would hoped it would be, there is a lot of areas for growth and improvement, even simple things as adding a URL link to a button operated different features and hyperlinking a URL.

Publishing you have to do a full site publish rather than individual pages, which is difficult when you have multiple users.

Static pages and CMS collections could do with improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helped us centralise our websites into a single CMS.

Complex output but simple UI all in one!

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was able to jump in to using Webflow with very little background training. While not inherently intuitive, it enabled non-developer resources (like me) to be able to jump in and make an impact!
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is complex and not intuitive. I think that is a requirement to make it more powerful than other web CMS tools, so that makes sense, but it did take a few trainings with our web devs for me to be able to work in Webflow without breaking anything. Once I got the hang of it, I was a pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scalable content management for a complex product! It is saving time and energy through advanced integrations that enable us to work smarter.

So far, finding it really easy to use for beginners
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is the website crashes. Definitely an obstacle for sensitive content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main function is website updates & blog publishing. Solving the problem of time- doesn't take very long to publish something.
