What do you like best about the product?
IBM DB2 proves to be highly effective for high performance, reliability, and enterprise-level data management. It consistently delivers strong results in these areas. I am SAP BASIS Consultant using db2 database it is very fast as compared it other databased in case of restart or switch to other node in HA. Upsides are high performance scalable excellent stability and Very HIGH HADR and backup options.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that during restoration, if there is a technical glitch, the process enters a rollback phase, which takes a considerable amount of time to bring the database back up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it with my ERP SAP system to store data. It has proven beneficial to me in several ways, such as helping to address performance bottlenecks, reducing downtime risks, managing database growth challenges, and handling operational complexity.

I like its very solid database for critical loads, with good performance in transactions and powerful options for high availability and failover recovery.

Nothing, it seems perfect to me as it is. The tool is easy to implement and quite intuitive.

Easy to use and reliable - overall is a great software
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to use and integrate to our system. My Finance team uses this extensively and are really happy with the many features it provides. The way daily transactions are handled is amazing and the support for AI tools is an added advantage. It was really easy to implement to their work flow and they use it daily. Customer support is also really nice.

Couldn't find any issues yet, so far this is working fine and meeting all our requirements.

Great Performance and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I have used IBM DB2 for around 5 years for one of my legacy projects I was working on. Even though we have millions of records terabytes of data. The database was performing well. There is provision of vacuum for faster query performance and reindexing of whole database would also increase performance. There were no chances of it went down due to technical error. It provides a Linux interface allow technical people like me to use it Easly. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I don't find any such things to dislike in it.

It was a government project which required huge data storage and need database that can return complex query in lessor time and IBM DB2 was good in both.

I use the IBM Db2 Database for development applications. Many clients in our company have business applications currently working on it.
What is most valuable?
The IBM Db2 Database is trusted, and IT effort is less than any other product. IBM Db2's support for both structured and unstructured data benefits me because both are allowed.
IBM's impact on in-memory technology is good for working in our organization. The IBM Db2 multi-workload helps me manage diverse business applications with easy management. We just have a backup of incremental changes every day, and applications working with it do not need maintenance gradually.
The IBM Db2 Database brought benefits to my organization as we did not spend too much money on security. It is secure enough, and the IT teams do not have heavy work.
What needs improvement?
The IBM Db2 Database is a good solution, but now there is a high maintenance charge.
The IBM Db2 Database needs improved support, and there are many difficulties in using it. We tend to use the cloud, and our country tends to be Masr al-Raqamia. This is a project we need to participate in, but our database is not readable for other sites, and dealing with the data is not easy.
Regarding the price of the IBM Db2 Database, upgrading to Power 9 or Power 10 is very expensive for our company now.

I am using the desktop version of the IBM Db2 Database, and we need to move to the cloud, but we need to develop our application. On a scale of one to ten, I rate the IBM Db2 Database a nine.
