Browserstack testing platform usability

  • September 06, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack has everything that is needed to maintain the highest QA standards. Easy to plug in with project management tools. Variety of features to support a wide range of functionalities, for example, country-specific testing, support security features needed for intranet applications. Be it a website or an app, Browserstack supports it all. Customer Support is also very excellent and prompt.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see some improvements on the visual testing Percy feature. Would like to see if Percy can support the layout definition for each component against which it can be validated, instead of the previous snapshot. It would also be interesting to see if Browserstack can develop a core web vitals validation feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack helps in standardization of processes, both manual and Automation. We use Browserstack Live and Automate feature to do Cross browser testing on desktop & mobile.

A tool to make cross-browser testing a breeze

  • September 06, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack makes it so easy to get up and running. Once set up, they provide thousands of devices and browsers to use to make cross-browser testing an absolute breeze. The documentation is fantastic and makes it very easy to quickly get started and execute a test using their tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
BrowserStack isn't as quick at running UI tests as compared to some of the newer cross-browser testing tools.

BrowserStack doesn't provide a way (or at least I couldn't see a way) to be able to see and manage all the active tunnels running locally on a developers machine. This would be useful to see how many people are currently running tests using BrowserStack from their local development machine and to manage those connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack makes 3000+ real devices and browsers available to its users. It would be impossible without BrowserStack to be able to gain access to these browsers so easily to carry out testing.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It was very easy to start and understand how the cross-browser testing works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe, I would like to have more access to the sensors of the phone but I understand that isn't possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross browser checking-testing. Testing mobile apps on different versions, resolutions and devices.

Awesomeness! Helping us to ship faster with quality

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I would say the wide variety of device spectrum provided by BrowserStack and also the reporting features. We have the choice of randomising the devices, which gives wider coverage for our tests and brings more confidence to release our apps. Special mention to the support provided by them team, super fast in resolving queries and always in touch makes us feels using an in-house product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specifically. All the features work like charm and helped us only. So specifically, nothing to dislike and only many reasons to like more!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Wider device coverage
- Reducing the execution time for automated tests with multiple devices and OS versions
- Reporting and Alerts

What do you like best about the product?
Their Customer Support team is great. Quick replies are helpful, I appreciate them. I don't have to wait forever to get a solution to our problems. I don't know how this compares to competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of anything at the moment. I think they are doing everything well. Their solution suits me well. I have no idea how it could be better. Happy with Percy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Percy and that helps with or Visual testing. It removes the task of manually reviewing visual changes when we deploy new features. That, in turn, leaves our engineers to focus on more productive work.

An all in one platform for UI testing across different platforms

  • August 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- BrowserStack's onboarding documentation is very brief and simple to follow.
- The dashboard interface is simple to use with thorough logs and the local testing feature is very powerful to connect internal applications.
- Everything is nearly plug-n-play.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The inability to customise the dashboard to indicate the start and end of test cases in the text logs like labels or markers.
- Getting beta access can take a while for legal review (Smart TV testing).
- Pricing is higher.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- BrowserStack's device coverage is proving very helpful for testing our app across a fragmented user base.
- The Smart TV testing has helped me conduct a POC of our automation tests on a "cloud TV" with very little setup and this has taken on-prem device maintenance of the device off our hands.

Being able to quickly and easily load any browser on any OS makes troubleshooting any problem easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints at all with this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When clients have any issues or when doing any new development - I can test specific browsers and devices to replicate any potential issues.

Decent for what you need it for

  • August 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact they are real devices and 90% of the time the phones work instantly. I have used other device farms and this is by far the best experience and the UI is so easy to use. I have managed to do so many tests using our local environments when other people were off that had the real devices and it now gives people time to take annual leave as we now have Browserstack to cover for the devices that person would have had.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike little things and support are always helpful to sort them out. For example some of the tests we have is to stay landscape when going home from chrome and coming back but when it goes home the device somehow turns into portrait. These little niggles Browserstack are trying to sort out. Also sometimes the device won't start up but once you keep trying it will but this does cost us a little time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AS above
