Formstack has simplified our processes!

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease with which I'm able to create forms. The point-and-click nature of Formstack has truly been a lifesaver and allows anyone the ability to create professional forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything I dislike. My experience with Formstack has been great throughout. If I have to come up with something then I would say that I wish it was easier to create customs form outputs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Formstack is helping me solve problems with accuracy and timeliness as well as issues with customer service. Formstack has added a lot of value to me and to my office.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to customize the form layout as well as dependent fields by leveraging the drag and drop approach.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there is a slight disconnect with the Salesforce version and the browser version. I would like to understand the enhancements in the Salesforce version more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving gathering customer information around service requests. I would like to dig in further with additional training.

Great product for those who need an easy way to build out forms!

What do you like best about the product?
Formstack is easy to use for any non-coders out there. Being able to drag and drop fields into forms makes creating forms a breeze. Getting a little technical, you can also add logic to fields, which helps display only appropriate fields when necessary. Great product to use for any business or institution! If you do not have someone on your staff who can code forms by hand, you need to give Formstack a shot.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot say I have too many dislikes so far. Customer support is always helpful, so anyone who is having issues should reach out for help. They have assisted me numerous times over the years. One thing to note is that the change that is going on with privacy for accessing submissions for a non-Formstack user has been a bit of a problem. We would send submission links to each office for the forms they would have us build. We do not have someone in the office who can full-time manage data to all forms, so we have each area manage its own data. We are currently working with our representative at Formstack, trying to figure out how to make this work for us before the change comes in January 2022.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
But not having someone who can full-time hard code forms on our staff, we can use Formstack to create easy and simple forms for the university. Training someone new in Formstack is quite quick, so it is always helpful to have a few folks in the office know how to create, update, or change forms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you do not have someone on your team to build out forms by hand, someone who knows who codes, you should give Formsatck a try. Drag and drop fields, adding logic, adding confirmation emails, all of that is so easy to do.

Simple to learn, easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
If you are familiar with CMS platforms like Wordpress or Drupal, the interface is very familiar right out of the gate. Easy to create simple forms or logical forms with the drag-and-drop builder. Branding is also very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating/changing the logic in complex forms can be challenging because it relies on a title rather than an element number. For example, if you have 10 questions that all start with "Please choose from the following items", you will have to choose from a list of 10 questions that look exactly the same when assigning logical workflow. Make sure to manually add question numbers and make each question title unique to help with this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting data in a standardized format is the #1 benefit for me.

Time and Energy Saved!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to digitize our paper processes (forms, registrations, etc.) and house the results in a communal place. This saves time and energy for so many people in my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
While not poorly designed by any means, the numerous features, integrations, and plug-ins can be a bit intimidating for some of my team. I've been told by my users that they are overwhelmed by what is in front of them and that they don't feel confident that they are using the product to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are reducing time, money, and energy that we don't have to spare on what were formerly paper processes. We used to send out paper forms, track what had been returned manually, create spread sheets where we manually entered the data, and then share these spread sheets with others. This has been trimmed down exponentially.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If it seems overwhelming, take some time to look at the amazing tutorials and help topics. Anything that you want to achieve is covered.

Incredibly Easy Process Automation

What do you like best about the product?
Formstack has made it possible to automate some of our most tedious and manual HR processes. They make it easy to bring in different stakeholders on a case-by-case and step-by-step basis using Workflows.

Also, the reports!! It has made reporting on Employee Changes in our SOC-2 process incredibly easy and detailed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The levels of access you can have are SO detailed that it will probably be hard to manage as we scale. If people can create their own folders and themes, it can get kind of messy and off-brand, so you have to be incredibly cautious setting up the system's users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Process automation! We are saving HOURS of work by using onboarding forms & workflows, change request forms, event & swag requests, and so much more! It makes it even better that we can document the approval of these forms easily in reports for auditing purposes.

Flexible and reliable platform

What do you like best about the product?
I have been able to quickly and easily build customized forms used for internal processing as well as externally facing. The process of customizing the design, format and structure of forms is very seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not been able to find a great deal of help documentation or resources on customizing online documents and tying them together with native online forms, which has been a complex process to get going on the front end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to build online forms to intake and receive external user information and process/integrate that into our internal customer relationship management software, which has made form follow-ups a seamless process.

What do you like best about the product?
I think the overall simplicity & ease of use of the product is what makes it a winner in our eyes. That and the security features were what clinched the deal for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the start some of the navigation feels a little off however once you've used it a few times, it becomes a lot easier to find the features that you want to change or modify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had been using a number of online forms to solve particular issues for our business but we needed a solution that was both HIPAA compliant and stored records fully encrpyted, and Formstack was one of the few solutions that solved this particular set of requirements for us.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of Formstack is good but still needs a lot of work in different areas.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I like the process for adding users as there is no field to mirror another user's permissions/folders.

We are unable to get detailed exports of our users without paying for the export every time.

Unable to send back several steps in a workflow

Workflow notifications are glitchy and don't allow users to open links at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to use Formstack to replace several paper forms that were not ideal during COVID.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Buy enough licenses initially!

What do you like best about the product?
Creating forms is extremely easy. Formstack also has all of the fields that we could possibly need, including a description area, credit card, email validation, etc. The ability to add logic is imperitave too!
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration with Salesforce can be tricky. You cannot search for existing records to update and create a new record if it does not find anything at the same time (with the same form).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We created an exam with a Formstack form and integrated it with Formstack documents to automatically kick out a certificate to the exam taker if they get a certain grade. It was very simple to do and will save our Director of Education many hours of manually grading these exams and creating the certificates.
