One Stop Shop for Customer Happiness & Productivity
What do you like best about the product?
Formstack allows us to build complex forms with logic controls and enterprise-grade customization all without the need for full time developer staff at our small business. Our customers come to our site expecting static forms as is custom in our industry, and instead find that they can complete their tasks and enter events right then and there. Today's customers want to accomplish things in real-time. Formstack gives us a way to keep our OPEN sign illuminated around the clock.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the age of pervasive SaaS offerings, Formstack is beginning to branch out with so many integrations and acquisitions that all want their own slice of the pie. Instead of offering customers a one-size-fits all pricing approach, each feature seems to have its own pricing structure and limitations. Consequently, most of the compelling new features being rolled out price small businesses out of the water. We're hopeful that Formstack will eventually consolidate their platform pricing to include the various integrations they now have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business eliminated endless mailed paper entries for our events as a result of using Formstack. We've rebuilt all of our forms using the platform and now accept payment using one of Formstack's integrations. We're taking more entries now, can see real-time analytics of form bottlenecks and abandonments, and can use the data to make informed decisions on product/service revisions and updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Like most SaaS offerings, Formstack is constantly expanding their product offering to entice users on to their platform. Because they're attached to so many partner companies and services, there are times when integrations don't work exactly as planned. I'd recommend that anyone looking to move to Formstack for form processing with an integration in mind seriously consider a trial to investigate how deeply integrated any partner apps or services are to the main product.
Stepped up our game
What do you like best about the product?
It's software based. We used to be paper based.
What do you dislike about the product?
Annual fees vs purchase of the system. I would rather purchase the software and updates than just subscription based, but I understand the business model. lease vs buy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time savings
Likely the most robust form tool on the market.
What do you like best about the product?
The Formstack interface is very easy to use and provides powerful replication and logic rules to make complex forms easy to create and easy to complete. The Zapier integration along with other native integrations make getting data into almost any CRM a breeze. The native integration with Google Analytics makes tracking form completion success a snap. Lastly, the embed tools make deploying the forms very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike. I don't have much to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved so many problems. We have created registration forms for events, party booking forms, class payment forms, field trip permission slips, enrollment forms, staged forms, conditional logic forms, payment capture forms, and the list goes on and on.
amazing set of features
What do you like best about the product?
I can use form logic to send the submitted form data to different sets of people - and redirect the user to a different landing page depending on their responses.
There are lots of options to customise the look and feel of the form - I am impressed that I can embed HTML and CSS for complex optimisation.
There are lots of options to customise the look and feel of the form - I am impressed that I can embed HTML and CSS for complex optimisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing comes to mind right now. cost is always a consideration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
being able to send people to a different thankyou page, and send the form data to different sets of people (depending on the users responses) means that I can have less forms to manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We have large forms (50+ questions) and small forms - Formstack has been good for both.
Great and versatile program for forms and more.
What do you like best about the product?
Where to start? The logic to show/hide content based on previous responses, the ability to route responses to the appropriate parties via email, the API allowing connection to Mailchimp. It's great software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a little bit more flexibility in the design. I know I can make adjustments with CSS, and I have, but some things like being able to put the submit button on the same line as another field would be great to have as built in options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for volunteer applications, reference checks, visitor sign in cards, activity registrations, event follow up, and email routing. We do a ton with it.
Convenient for ALL
What do you like best about the product?
All information can be populated for accuracy and that it is accessible to everyone all hours of the day. The free text areas are helpful when long explanation is needed. Then it is sent directly to the office email.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I dislike, as the dashboard is easy to use and there are many options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I only struggled with the set up, and customer service was amazing and easy to reach.
Formstack Review from Bounce Animal Rescue
What do you like best about the product?
We enjoy that there is safety in knowing that Formstack is protecting our applicants' data. We require applicants to upload various personal documents, and there is a lot of peace of mind for both our organization, but for the applicant, that their information is securely protected.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be advantageous to have an auto-delete setting for forms submitted after a certain period of time. We have to go into our Formstack account every other month to clear it out for space, and it would be convenient to have that as an option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Formstack allows our organization to be more environmental healthy, as form submissions can be done electronically. It also allows for remote location use of application submissions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give this product a shot! It takes a little patience to first learn how to use it, but once you get it down, building and utilizing forms is a breeze.
A Great Tool for Interacting with Clients
What do you like best about the product?
Formstack helps us collect the information we need to best help our clients. By creating forms for our specific needs, we can direct them to provide the correct information the first time and in a format we can easily use. It's also a terrific way to get engagement with confidential surveys.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve to creating forms and incorporating the results, but it is fairly intuitive to learn and is not overly difficult. A smattering of clients have had some difficulty with understanding the process, but that may be mainly due to a lack of technical savvy and not related to Formstack directly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has streamlined our information gathering process and made it easy to conduct surveys and receive detailed and honest feedback.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't underestimate the ways you will find to use Formstack. We use it daily and I know we have only scratched the surface. I look forward to exploring more ways to use Formstack to make work more efficient and smooth. Plan your forms with your end in mind, there are so many ways to export the information you can gather, making it easy to incorporate it into spreadsheets, documents and more.
