Usefulness: Metabase features a straightforward user interface that enables users to explore and analyse their data without the need for in-depth technical expertise or programming skills.
Charts, graphs, and tables are just a few of the visualisation options that Metabase provides to help customers quickly comprehend and share their data's insights.
Options for customization: Metabase enables users to alter the colours, typefaces, and layouts of their dashboards and visualisations to suit their individual requirements.

What do you dislike about the product?

Powerful BI tool that requires a great deal of knowledge to operate
What do you like best about the product?
The greatest upside to Metabase is the ease of deployment. Our organization had our instance up and running within days and we were able to start pulling meaningful data shortly thereafter.
What do you dislike about the product?
Metabase lacks the ability to allow people not well-versed in writing queries that ability to build reports and dashboards on their own. Having someone. who does understand how to build the queries and dashboards helps immensely
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Metabase provides a low-cost solution to data and reporting. This helps us look into trends, etc. for our user base. It also allows us to investigate new reporting solutions to provide to our customers.
Best SQL based Analytical tool to view and draw complex information

easy access to view or draw info from Metabase

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
comparison, correlating complex data under one page, by implementing SQL for solving an analytical problem
Great way to look up user accounts and easy to link to Zendesk
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to link to Zendesk, looks up users by the details our team created for us, allows me to see custom fields for sorting and I am able to "sort" by the column that I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike. I am a user, not a "bulider" of the Metabase data structure for my team. I ask for a database, and someone else builds it. However, it seems that it's easy to use one that is put together and we use it all the time for pulling information from our central system, like contest winners, subscriptions, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I haven't encountered any pitfalls here, but again, I don't build the reports, I use the reports that are built. We need to find out who contest winners are based on points accumulated in our system, and it does that easily. As well it keeps track of all subscriptions we have in our database, and I can see things (custom fields I assume) like username, coupons used, platform, etc.
Perfect tool for Quick visualisation without complexities
What do you like best about the product?
Metabase is very intuitive to use and quick to start. A wide range of Filter options and Visualisations make it easy to look at data in varied ways. Subscription and Alert features are excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
With lots of cards (30+) on a Dashboard, applying filters is difficult as all cards start loading as soon as the dashboard is opened or a filter is applied. An optional button to initiate the dashboard loading could be provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it for a lot of Analyses and for initial data reading regarding any RCA. Also using Metabase for service alerts based on real-time success rates. Subscription feature is very useful as well.
Brilliant to build workflows and light weight BI
What do you like best about the product?
The visualizations which allow you to remove the select data is amazing. The ability to put a parameter on an entire dashboard is just next level and has really in building the team's workflows
What do you dislike about the product?
Need Goal based alerts on questions as they help us keep track of threshold kpi's which is crucial, especially during high or low volume periods, which help in capacity planning in the future.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me build KPI's and workflows, also it allows me do super fast BI and observe trends and analytics which has made team and operations management easier.

The query editor is fantastic,it's straightforward to generate reports and configure

Easiness comes with disadvantages,there are very few parameters you can tweak in charts and reports and not many configuration options, but it's a price you pay for usability
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the people in my organization can create their reports without much technical assistance.
We can merge those reports in very easy to create dashboard for every one to see.

I do not have enough proficiency with the product to say what I "don't like", but I am excited to learn more about the capabilities.

Metabase is an amazing tool that offers us the best insights into how our product is used and how we can improve the end-user experience. Metabase is also a wonderful way to keep track of relevant KPIs and internal goals.
