It provides visibility into IT spending, allowing us to see exactly where their budget is allocated and identify opportunities for optimization. By automating data collection and reporting, Apptio eliminates manual processes, reducing errors and freeing up time for IT and finance teams.

Once you understand ATUM and have an idea of what the goal is, apptio providers a fairly flexible and customizable approach to unlocking technology value in your org.

Some of the benchmarking isn't granular enough to be useful

The organization lacked basic visibility into IT spend ultimately resulting in misalign incentives and poor investment

I find IBM Apptio incredibly easy to use, with an initial setup process that just worked seamlessly, removing potential hurdles for new users. The platform's ease of usability is one of its standout features, facilitating smooth operation and management without needing extensive training or support. Additionally, its utility and informative nature make it an invaluable tool for cost management of AWS resources, offering insights and details that aid in making informed financial decisions. The overall user experience is highly positive, prompting me to enthusiastically recommend IBM Apptio to others, as reflected by my high likelihood of recommending it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation for IBM Apptio is not always kept up to date, which can pose challenges when trying to find relevant and current information. Additionally, the process for deploying IBM Apptio could be improved by integrating it into the AWS Marketplace, which would simplify the deployment process by automatically setting up within AWS accounts.

I use IBM Apptio for AWS cost management, finding it easy to use and informative, which simplifies my resource tracking. The setup worked seamlessly.
