Great features and super easy to setup CI product

  • May 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Their UI is great. Setting up the CI pipeline, with all the docker features and different options makes it a great option to have in you CI pipeline. We use it in all of our repositories and help us run all of our test with each commit and PR
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really nothing that comes to mind as something negative about CircleCI. Sometimes the CI setup requires some updating (some old versions stop beign supported, etc), but CircleCI makes it super easy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CircleCi helps us to run all or our tests before deploying to production. When the test suite fails it makes it super easy to see the "artifacts" of the test run, screenshots, logs, etc, that help a lot to figure out what happened

excellent experience with circleci

  • May 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like the most is the simplicity to connect to the server via ssh, restart failed jobs.
Pipeline creations is also easy, and connection with aws too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. Maybe the documentation could be improved and some more examples provided (my first attempts to use Circleci were difficult since the documentation was a bit difficult to understand and it was not easy to find examples).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementing CI/CD is pretty easy with Circleci. In addition, the integration for aws are also great

What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing structure may be complex to understand
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation, automation, automation :)

Great platform for cloud based serverless technology.

  • May 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use of the platform. I also like able to get ssh shell into the docker image to help troubleshoot pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the documentation can be all over, lacking concrete examples that are up to date with its platform changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a cloud centric shop so not having to deal with managing jenkins servers is a big plus. Getting builds off of local PC's into a pipeline has big benifits

FROM HELL TO THE SKY

  • May 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The easy that is to use orbs and previous work from other teams and companies that had made it public.
Also I can connect multiple repos very fast and without any problems
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any other CI/CD tool, the complexity of testing things during the development or improvement of the pipelines that we have. Is impossible to recreate it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously we were using another tool that took us about 2 hours the build of our products. Now we build more than ten apps simultaneously in about 30 minutes. It has made a difference

CircleCI is great for modern apps

  • May 23, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Insights help pinpoint and monitor slow and flaky tests, and keep build times under control. The configuration options are straightforward and well documented, giving lots of control with a quick ramp.
What do you dislike about the product?
The charts in Insights can be confusing. Some examples are showing the last 100 builds instead of time-series makes it hard to identify when a config change occurred and what impacts it had on build times / failures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every PR runs the build and all tests, giving early feedback if the build is viable. When a PR is merged into master we again confirm the build and tests pass as expected, and deploy parts of our system automatically.

Developer friendly

  • March 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly interface & features, such as flaky test detection or insights for workflows/job/branches that are not seen so often in other CI providers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Audit features are not as available as other enterprise-grade CI providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the need to provision our own CI servers, and that the various build host support e.g. Mac runners is definitely a standing out point.

Accelerate Your Delivery Cycle with CircleCI's Robust CI/CD Tool

  • February 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a powerful tool that helps to manage CI/CD pipeline for multiple projects in a single view. It has various options while setup a CI/CD pipeline like approve/disapprove deployment, automate workflow for some branches, different workflows for one project, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't encountered any significant problems, however, occasionally builds fail because of temporary network issues, which can be annoying, especially when it's a large build or due to flaky test cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us to automate the deployment process with continuous integration checks under a single dashboard for our web application, backend application, and mobile application.

From the commit to the repo

  • December 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that is free at entry level so you can build your entire pipeline and only when you need more performance you need to pay.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve, it is difficult at first to integrate everything and make it work. After that you always feel that the effort pay off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my case CircleCI builds debian packages from my GitHub repos and push them to my repos in packagecloud.
