Superblocks enables us to rapidly bring many systems into individual, impactful apps and tools

  • March 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We enjoy using Superblocks because it allows our internal teams to have a full view of our operations through a single interface. We can rapidly prototype and get tools in the hands of our teams that empower them to do their job faster, more impactfully, and more delightfully.
What do you dislike about the product?
We'd like for Superblocks to give us greater control at the admin level over access to integrations we build.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Superblocks allows us to quickly bring together the best bits from many of our systems, add in new backends we need, and provide our teams with greater leverage.

Quick and easy to roll out

  • March 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple interface and examples meant it is possible to get an MVP internal app up and running in half and hour. A lot of the key aspects are built into the platform, like user management, making roll out trivial.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few of the API's could have a few more examples. The AI assistant helped but had to use external documentation to tidy-out some of the integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team needed a quick and simple solution to explore and action on internal data. Visual analytics wasn't enough, and needed an easy way to allow form input and actions. Superblocks worked out perfectly for the use case.

A quick and simple way to build an internal web app!!

  • March 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a front-end engineer, I started working on Superblocks almost a month ago, and the experience has been great so far. It's so easy and fast to drag and drop components without having to build them from scratch, and just add short code snippets to do some additional processing, making feature implementation straight-forward. It also provides an ability to manage state variables, which is helpful. The API integration is also pretty simple! It also allows us to build our custom React components and use it throughout the app.
Besides, the Superblocks documentation is very detailed and I receive the necessary support instantly. It also handles deployments and provides its own infrastructure, so I don't need to worry about DevOps work. They're also on top of improving the developer experience by frequently adding on new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features that can be improved or added on include the ability to share components across tabs, add routing and provide a multi-page app, allow us to place a component on top of the other while it's made invisible based on a condition, and also allow us to build organization-level custom components to be used across apps. Local dev mode should allow for working on a certain branch instead of main.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Superblocks is providing a convenient way to build internal web apps , especially for developers who are not familiar with front-end technologies. It helps faster development and launching of new applications.

Easy and powerful

  • March 01, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Superblocks is a simple and cost-effective way to build internal applications. The pricing scales much better than competitors like Retool, and the support is top-notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's less comprehensive than Retool, but you might not need that functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Superblocks makes it very quick to manage access to an internal application, and removes the need to keep e.g. a framework and container up to date.

Huge help on a big project

  • February 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
their support team is excellent! They have gone above and beyond several times when i have reached out for support identifying issues within the applications I have been building and provide extremely easy to understand explanations on how to setup specific features i need.
What do you dislike about the product?
This might be a minor issue but i wish the dotted outline was a bit more visible when dragging or adjusting components within my application, some times its hard to see how much space i have or whether or not my components are alligned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Superblocks has made it easy to create low code applications to streamline the way my team receives and delegates work.

Superblocks -- Critical Business App

  • February 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most important feature for us is a: static ip for whitelisting and b: extremely flexible read and write access to custom database. It's also very stable and consistent.
What do you dislike about the product?
It drive me nuts how easy it is to grab an entire form and move it 2 inches or delete the whole form. Text formatting needs to be better. printing and pdf conversion needs to be out of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built an app to manage product orders and freight needs between our company and 2 outside vendors. it replaced a painful and time-consuming email process.

Quick Development of Dashboards

  • February 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how quick it is to develop apps and dashboards that make our data easy to explore. Producing quality figures is easy with the plotly integration!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to use python libraries that don't come out of the box with superblocks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of needing lots of dev hours to build apps and dashboards. It's benefitting us because Data Scientists are able to quickly build apps and dashboards, letting our Dev team work on more important problems.

Low code tool that's thought out well

  • February 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Superblocks is easy to get started with and enables you to quickly create internal tooling. It can integrate with data from a wide variety of services, and is quite flexible. It allows you to write custom code either in data processing or for the frontend components that get displayed to the users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like other low-code tools, you're likely to run into the problem where you can accomplish most of what you want with the visual editors, but then find that the remaining work is more difficult. Superblocks mostly mitigates this by allowing you to put custom code pretty much wherever you want, but having this code scattered around is still not as efficient as just having a repository with proper version control that you can edit with an actual IDE.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've personally used it to create an internal QA dashboard that allows content authors to see at a glance which articles on our site might need attention.

Great Admin Tooling

  • February 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its very intuitive, I got used to it withing 3 days of learning and was effectively able to develop after that. The official documentation also helps a lot.

It is very easy to setup an application and give out permissions and access control to whomever needs it. Git integration is a big plus for me.

Alongside the official docs, customer support is very helpful, we had multiple calls and chats with them, and we have a dedicated slack channel with the support people for any problems we encounter.
What do you dislike about the product?
The superblocks agent the apps are running on sometimes bugs out, and then the app stops working, but this happens really rarely.

Also, some features like if/else blocks weren't adopted when I was using Superblocks, but I think they're coming in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use Superblocks to build frontends for admins/moderators of our data, saving time on building complex UI's just for them, and enabling us to focus more on the backend side. Also, any quick demo's I don't want to showcase through Postman, I spin up a Superblocks app and voila!

Customized components with great SQL environment and workflows

  • February 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy-to-use but can be customized a lot with code both in back-end and front-end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited component features, like customizing a table and many problems with the date picker. Python needs to be improved a lotby adding libraries and a nicer environment with code autocompletion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fantastic engineers team always willing to help. The flexibility to write SQL queries and Python is a great foundation to start from. However, Python does not have that many features and packages. By giving the option to the user to customize more the components and write python code for machine learning, Superblocks could compete other platforms which allow the users to fully customize their applications.
