Navigation is intuitive and program details are easily accessible
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
What I find best about Skillsoft is that it's easy to navigate and find program details. At the top, it has a banner that shows many of their programs, which has been most useful for me.
What needs improvement?
Overall, it is an easy tool to use. The only issues I truly have with it are signing issues. This is primarily because it has split sign-in credentials. I have to have specific sign-in credentials for it, nothing tailored personally. I'm not sure if it has the capabilities of a personal sign-in, but it's directly with the program that we use or with the program that I'm in, that they have sign-in credentials for us.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Skillsoft for approximately six months, about three to four months.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
I didn't have anything to do with the initial setup as the program I'm in handled that part.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I haven't faced any issues with the stability while using it. The only issues I experienced were connectivity-related.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
My impressions on scalability are that I've noticed it has different capabilities and can be used for many different things. It definitely meets requirements in that aspect.
How are customer service and support?
I haven't encountered the support team yet, but I will be contacting them for the signing issues that I have once I complete my current assignment.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I am currently away on military orders, so the only other solutions I'm using are military-related.
How was the initial setup?
I didn't have anything to do with the initial setup as the program I'm in handled that part.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I am just the user, and I'm not sure if they have a partnership.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend Skillsoft to other people.
I actually recommend the program often, especially through the O2O program that I was in. I particularly appreciate the badging features and the ability to post the badges to LinkedIn. When recommending it, I would highlight those features. I'm not sure if I've been noticed more on LinkedIn because of them, but it does add emphasis towards what I'm working towards.
On a scale of 1-10, I rate Skillsoft a 9 out of 10.
Structured learning and varied content have enriched my project skills
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
What I appreciate best about Skillsoft is how the class is structured, including how everything is organized - the courses, videos, and then the test at the end. They give you multiple attempts to figure it out and understand the question because sometimes questions could relate to problems I'm doing during a project.
Skillsoft has also helped me learn other aspects of learning. I usually grew up going to class, learning face-to-face, but learning through videos and tutorials is something I started getting accustomed to. It has helped me understand how to navigate through different configuration pages on different subjects that we're doing at work.
The content variety in Skillsoft supports my training needs effectively.
What needs improvement?
Based on my experience with Skillsoft, there's nothing I could think of that needs to be improved on the learning content. I think it works well. I'm currently in Skillsoft looking up CompTIA Security+ content, reviewing exam questions, and it's pretty straightforward and helping me through exam questions. This is my first time using that feature, and it's working well. I don't think anything needs to change.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Regarding the stability of Skillsoft, I have not faced any issues with the stability.
How are customer service and support?
I haven't had to contact the Skillsoft support team or talked to them, but I'm confident they would be helpful.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Before using Skillsoft, I was using LinkedIn Learning before I got hired, and I'm still using LinkedIn Learning since getting hired here. They are both effective platforms, but Skillsoft has more preparation questions and preparation exams than LinkedIn does, which gives it the edge.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup and deployment of Skillsoft is straightforward.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend Skillsoft to other people.
With Skillsoft, I would advise people to be eager to learn because Skillsoft will give you related videos that you should look into.
On a scale of 1-10, I rate Skillsoft a 10 out of 10.
Updated features and AI usage make for a great learning tool!
Best learning platform.
It has designed in graphical way so that it feels in very interactive way.
After every course there is summary or small discription what we have learned from it.
It has limited training part so that there limited examples for that course.
Few courses has questions and answers so that we can come to know how we have understood.
It also provides certification and batches after course completion.
