Brighthouse BPA
What do you like best about the product?
Current Redwood is Brighthouse, LLC Enterprise Job Scheduling applications which allow for process automation for SAP and other applications throughout our Enterprise. Redwood is of value to our organization because of its ease of use the ability to automate and orchestrate any platform that we utilize today. I would highly recommend Redwood to anyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most negligible value that we receive from our Redwood instance is that it is containerized within SAP. With this particular type of setup, we cannot see all the backend systems that support the application. In terms of an outage, this becomes critical because it tasks some time to identify and restore our services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that we are solving with Redwood is automating our business processes logically and intelligently. This allows our company to realize expedited processing to our GL and new business.
Powerful and User friendly

The schema used for scripting is difficult to understand. Also, it is now difficult to check the documentation provided for functionalities.

The parallel and sequential scheduling in chain were pretty good concepts.
Also the reporting functionality was helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
The one fact that the session expires quite often, and we need to again login to environment systems through dashboard which is something that can be improved.
Otherwise, I had good experience using this tool.

Redwood RMJ Review
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, setting up all of our SAP Batch Jobs in RMJ has made our job so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we are using the cloud version of the product, we don't have much control over when we do updates and have run into a couple of issues, but when we did run into problems, the team over at Redwood were very helpful and solved the issue in no time at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The application has given us more control over our Batch Processes in SAP, this has helped us manage our planed downtime but has also been great when we have had unplaned outages.
Best tool for the job
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, setting up new jobs is really painless and things just work like you'd expect. It's also very flexible if you have requirements that are somewhat out of the ordinary.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much (if anything) to dislike. I've not had any issues with it since I started using the product more than 10 years ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly we are using it to better deal with our batch requirements. Standard job scheduling in SAP is just rudimentary and doesn't meet the majority of needs we have identified. With Redwood we've been able to shrink our overall nightly runtime significatly.
RunMyJobs cloud enterprise scheduler
What do you like best about the product?
One of the most beneficial parts of RunMyJobs is we don't have to support and maintain the infrastructure for the scheduler, it's all in the cloud so Redwood takes care of that maintenance and upkeep.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of useful documentation for how to use the product in certain scenarios has been the biggest dislike, although I understand Redwood is working to make this better. Much of the documentation is just extremely high level and without relevant examples to get you going on your own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The RunMyJobs application has allowed us to centralize all of our processes across the enterprise. With this is the ability to alert on failures and have a centralized monitoring tool for our operations team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Redwood RunMyJobs has been amazing to have a cloud scheduling tool. As stated earlier, the main issue is relevant examples and documentation. They have come up with the Redwood University for basic skills, which is nice. There has been some reorganization lately and feel our partnership isn't as strong as it once was. One caveat is you are charged the same amount per process whether you are in Dev, Test, or Prod.

......................................Redwood is Too Cool ...................................................
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-Job creation, Customize Emails using HTML , Created monitoring script for short frequency jobs using JAVA code. Sending files to FTP is easier. We created a customized process definition for uploading files to SharePoint...etc . Extracting files is more accessible through reports.
-We created an automated script and provided a proof of concept to the Client for technical connectivity between RMJ and Qlik cloud via API. It allows for triggering reload tasks through RMJ on Qlik cloud RMJ, getting the reload status in real-time, and triggering the dependent reload tasks on Qlik cloud based on the condition.
