Very much informative and great application for the Analysis purpose.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part in Visualizations. Hoping for the same to be continued.

Training videos for using of the application need to be added for more Hands-On practices.
However, the tabs have made very much easy for the user for the analysis purpose.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It will be very much helpful for the Business Line, especially Finance related reports. Based on the Visualization it will be very useful for the Business Management to take the decision and predict for the future investment.

I Personally and Professionally suggest/recommend the IBM Planning Analytics which makes the job easier and also useful for the Analysis and Future Prediction for the Business Marketing purpose.
Dear User, make use the IBM PA product to the fullest. However, I do not find any changes need to be made right now as it is very much feasible for the Users. Going forward if there are any changes required for the same, will keep the Team IBM informed. Moreover I get very good and quick responses for any help if required.

Reduced problems that we had faced using excel, better for our team as a whole.

The key features of IBM Planning Analytics (PA) include financial planning, analysis planning, budget and forecasting processes. It has numberless functions and it is easy to use. The workspace is a must have feature if you want the work to go smoothly. It helps you communicate well with contributors. The reports are simple to do. It is cloud based and the reports can be customized as well so it is a key feature. By using workflows integrated business planning is made better.

BM Planning Analytics (PA) is not very modern. The price can be an issue and it can be expensive for some users. The dashboarding feature needs to do a better job. Integrating planning analytics is very slow and their team needs to fix it. The TI process has a really poor management. The application construction is not straightforward. The customer support is not available in all countries so it becomes difficult to manage problems. The learning curve is steep.

I have always enjoyed the customization aspect of TM1. As it has evolved into Planning Analytics, this has only become more improved. The self-service and ad-hoc capabilities of Planning Analytics Workspace bring the data to the end user in unique and exciting ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM needs to do a better job of integrating Planning Analytics with Cognos Analytics. They have been slow on this front and they are hurting both brands because of it. At this point in being together under the IBM family, they should be completely seamless with one another and share best of both.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning Analytics is helping improve the business processes around Capital Project Planning. It helps with labor management, vendor management, and overall project management for all capital projects. The online interface allows for collaboration and moves the data out of independent spreadsheets.

Excel add-ins sometimes disengage for unknown reasons.

Numerous disconnected divisions submit data via Excel files with no central data repository for querying and business intelligence reporting. When project complete, a dimentional database will exist for our reporting and analysis.

Definately perform internal blueprinting before moving forward with implementation.

- Difficulty of software setup, especially with clients in the government & financial sector (firewalls, antivirus obstructions etc.)

This is a platform: A repository, business rules and a user interface. end-to-end capabilities to deliver solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Continuous improvements of the platform sends mixed messages with features and tools coming in and out as the versions evolve. i.e: Insigth, architect, pm, etc.
I understand the evolution process, however making sure all customers are aware of the product roadmap and potential risks/issues they will have to address as they embrace upgrades will help to set clear expectations and most likely make us all part of the PA family.

What do you like best about the product?
the Flexibility of the TM1 application is wonderful. it has allowed us to develop enterprise solutions for planning and forecasting and investment optimization. intergration w/cognos BI is very nice

There isnt much we do not like about TM1, it is very flexible and more than sufficient for what we used it.,

standardized P&F and IO process has saved us manual processing hours and costs
