What do you like best about the product?
1. Customizable and Scalable Web Scraping with Actors
Apify’s actor-based architecture allows us to build and deploy highly customizable scrapers for platforms like Instagram and Facebook. We can configure actors to target specific elements (e.g., post timestamps, event descriptions, tagged locations) and scale them across different geographies or client segments. The ability to deploy actors programmatically through the API makes it easy to automate and maintain large-scale scraping operations.

2. Built-in Proxy Rotation and Anti-bot Protection
Social platforms are notoriously protective of their data, and IP bans or CAPTCHAs can derail scrapers. Apify offers built-in proxy management, including residential and datacenter proxies with rotation, to bypass rate limits and reduce blocks. This significantly increases reliability and uptime, especially when scraping multiple accounts or high-traffic pages.

3. Seamless Data Integration via API and Storage

For platforms like Facebook or Instagram, maintaining session persistence or dealing with frequent re-authentication often requires custom code or manual intervention. More built-in tools or templates for managing authenticated sessions would be highly valuable.

2. Debugging and Error Handling Could Be More Intuitive
When actors fail—due to selector changes, rate limiting, or site structure updates—the error messages can be vague. While logs are available, tracing the exact failure point (especially for long-running or scheduled actors) requires manual digging. Enhanced debugging tools, like visual DOM snapshots on failure or better stack traces, would help developers resolve issues more quickly.

3. Pricing Transparency and Proxy Cost Management
Apify's pricing around proxy usage can be hard to predict, especially when scaling up scraping across multiple actors or regions. More granular usage dashboards or budget caps would help teams avoid unexpected charges. Additionally, it would be useful to have smarter proxy allocation features based on geographic needs or scraping frequency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify is maintaining scrapers for sites whose UI is constantly changing (Instagram and Facebook) which is a big help for my business as we can focus on our main service of data analytics without having to keep fixing scrapers.

What do you like best about the product?
We are in a startup of finding jobs for people looking for one. But finding the right set of people is very difficult. There were many CRM giving us the the leads but relevant lead generation is something we can do for ourselves and there is no standard software for every use case possible out there. Apify helped us to get the data of relevant people. I use it mostly as CRMs for enriching our leads and best thing is we set it up using its api endpoints. So it's all automated in n8n.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's too many choices and sometimes it becomes overwhelming. If there could be an official review or something like editors choice, it would be easier to select a particular agent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to find the leads and then enrich them with their relevant data. Most other CRMs don't help me get that personalised data for my leads.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Apify is its combination of ready-made scrapers and deep customization options. The Actor Store makes it easy to get started quickly, while the ability to build custom actors gives us the flexibility to handle more complex workflows. The automation and scheduling features are also extremely helpful, since they let us run scrapers in the background and feed structured data directly into our CRM and dashboards. Overall, Apify saves us significant time, reduces manual work, and allows us to scale data collection far beyond what we could manage manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside is the learning curve. For simpler tasks, it’s beginner-friendly, but once you need to build or customize actors, you really need solid JavaScript skills. The documentation is thorough but can feel scattered and overly technical for new users. In addition, the dashboard could benefit from better organization features (like project folders or tags) once you manage a lot of actors and datasets. Finally, pricing is fair, but credit usage isn’t always intuitive, so it takes time to understand how to optimize costs.

- Mobile UI is the same as web, which on one side is good, on the other side is a bit difficult to manage from mobile
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quite an interesting product with useful features. I linked its pretty understandable user interface, which I found quite comfortable to learn fairly quickly. I felt that the platform is quite versatile for a few of my automation scenarios where I needed a cloud-based solution with scheduling available. Quite many actors are available for a variety of tasks. Apify allowed me to build my solution and utilize different resources to meet my requirements for the task I needed to do. Thanks!

What do you like best about the product?
It is both easy to use and has infinite integrations. If you are new to scraping, you can use it to get valuable data from websites with ease. If you are an experienced professional, you can integrate it with your services in infinite ways. Price is predictable, and they have a lot of case scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit expensive sometimes, especially if you have to rent an actor and also pay for actor usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our main lead source. We can scrape leads from the internet and enrich them based on their data on linkedin or google maps.

While social media pages often change their layouts and our in-house web-scraping method sometimes struggles to keep up, we rely on Apify actors as a dependable backup. In the meantime, while waiting for our developers to implement a permanent fix, Apify provides us with a fast, flexible, and highly reliable solution. We truly appreciate the versatility of the available tools and the overall quality of the service — it’s been a genuine life-saver for our workflows.

The only drawback we’ve encountered with Apify is that occasionally some available scrapers don’t capture 100% of the data — for example, not all comments from a post. It’s rare, but worth keeping in mind for highly data-sensitive projects.
